"If no team claims a waived player, he is said to have "cleared waivers." The player may sign with the team of his choice at that point. The player's new team only pays the pro-rated minimum salary to the player. The player's original team continues to pay the balance of the player's salary. For this reason, few players are actually claimed while on waivers."

"The amount the original team gets to set off is limited to one-half the difference between the player's new salary and the minimum salary"

I highly doubt any team would take Trybanski off waivers in the 48 hour time frame. Seeing how he only played 85 min on a poor Grizz team last year its a pretty good bet he'd only get around the minimum if anything. Since it would save us little if any money waiving him I don't see it happening.

For everyone who wondered how much Marion bulked up. Just look at his arms. They are pretty huge especially compared to how skinny he used to be.

They showed him a little bit in that Suns preview last week. He was just in a T-shirt but the add muscle was apparent, his shoulders seemed noticably broader.

I hope he puts it to good use and starts driving to the hole more often.

That's nice and everything but it seems like it's affecting his jumpshot the past three games. Hopefully he'd be able to adjust to his added muscle soon.

By this post, I assume you are saying,

"You were right, and I was wrong JC. If a team picks him up off waivers, the Suns would not have to pay him."

"However, I don't believe a team would pick him up."

:)
