This Year Of The Quarterback, the Brady 6 they have been pimping all morning is pissing me off.. Why is Brady crying about being drafted so low? The dude has multiple rings, has a supermodel gf/wife, every year he is in contention and he is going to the HoF.. Yet this long haired freak is balling about not getting drafted high enough 11 years later.. All the drama they tried to put in this is disgusting.. ESPN's man love for this guy is getting to be too much.. Even the ESPN guy after the preview said something like "wow, i bet everyone will watch this now".. Um no I wont.. I will avoid it like the plague though..

And Here's the Tom Brady quote that makes me want to punch him.. Said while weeping, after reflecting on finally being drafted>> "I dont have to be an insurance salesman ya know"

This has me thinking.. Does anyone think Kurt Warner would cry like a little wuss if they did one of these on him? And he wasnt even drafted.. I have a hard time believing Warner would be crying..

I'll defend Brady on this one. That had to be a soul-crushing day, and he was facing the very real possibility that he'd have to be something like an insurance salesman, or something like that. I can certainly understand how much emotion such a day would still hold for him. There are certain low points in my life that really get me down when I think about them.

I thought he was crying at the memory of Mom and Dad supporting him. (Which, since I'm a girl, I see as being kind of sweet. :))

That was my take, but being full of testosterone I can't say what you did.

PS, I think his pops choked up also during the ensuing scene.

BTW his $20 million, 22,000 sq ft mansion, under consctruction in Brentwood, CA has a meditation room for emotional moments( I made that up ).

You can live in the past or you can enjoy the present. We all go through hard times in our lives. Dwelling on those hard times only serves to put a damper on the good times. And you know the old saying, "Never look back. Something might be gaining on you.":D

I understand what you are saying.

Reading that in regards to this topic makes me want to throw up.

WHAT HAS TOM BRADY HAD TO STUGGLE THROUGH ?

Where to put all his money ? Having too much opportunity in life ? ONLY being drafted by the NFL ? Having too much luck for taking over for a older injured vet, during the rise of a dynasty and riding that for a career ?

Save it, cause it doesn't apply here. The guy has lived a life that gods are jealous of. If this is what this spoiled, skewed person cries about, he really needs a dose of reality.

What a frickin' tool. The guy has no idea how good he has it, and never will.

You guys are hating on someone for being emotional about one of the most momentous days of his life? It doesn't matter if he's a billionaire or a dollar-menunaire. He's a human being; he's entitled to his feelings. He's not asking you to feel sorry for him.

Jeesh. The draft can't come soon enough.

I was under the impression the story was about the teams who picked QBs ahead of Brady, and what happened to the prospects like Chris Redman and Gio Carmazzi after they joined the NFL.

I'm sure the money shot is Brady crying, but that's not what the whole program is about:
http://espn.go.com/blog/afceast/post/_/id/27731/film-reminds-us-what-pennington-could-do

ESPN's upcoming hour-long documentary, "The Brady 6," looks back on the New England Patriots' fortune of drafting Tom Brady 199th overall in 2000.

Much of the analysis focuses on the successes and failures of the six quarterbacks taken ahead of Brady.

That actually sounds pretty cool. I might TiVo it.

Gee, would you be mad if the Cards had selected Brady? All I know is Brady used his 6th Rd selection as fuel to super stardom...if the Cards could only get so lucky!!!

I hear Cards fans all the time hear hating on Brady, Manning, Bellicheat, etc & I simply don't understand it. I guess envy...because of the Cards losing ways. I would love to see the fire, winning & desire they bring to their franchises!!!

I forgot: Apparently this is not a 30 for 30 thing, but it's part of the ESPN Year of the QB program. I'm less excited now, and my expectations are significantly dampened.

It's a good thing I watched that to remind me that the Cardinals selected David Barrett three rounds before Brady.

The title I put sums it up.. I made the thread because ESPN pimped the crap outta this yesterday.. First time fine, it looked lame but whatever.. After it replaying every 15 minutes for 4 hours it pissed me off and sickened me..

Gee, would you be mad if the Cards had selected Brady? All I know is Brady used his 6th Rd selection as fuel to super stardom...if the Cards could only get so lucky!!!

It wouldnt matter if the Cards had drafted him because ESPN would be pimping whoever else took over Billechicks system after that QB won 3 rings.. Brady wouldnt be Brady in AZ..

ESPN does...

They care about his draft status and his hair!

One person got the idea of the thread.. Only one.. And its in the freaking title what I was talking about.. haha nice job PCF..

In my opinion ESPN pimping Brady is worse than Madden pimping Favre..
