Warner took the Cards to the Super Bowl, but Brady couldn't?
Bet that Fitz would disagree.
Well according to most posters on this board Warner did it single handedly.
We lost a ton of veteran talent and went from one of the best teams in the NFL to one of the worst in just one season. But according to ASFN, except for Warner, it was good riddance to everyone else that is now playing elsewhere.
Again, Brady would have been out of the NFL by now if he had been the QB on the 2001-2003 Cardinal teams. They were some of the worst teams ever put on the field by an NFL franchise.
Brady would have taken one look at the defensive line of Fred Wakefield, Jabari Issa, Russel Davis, and Barron Tanner and been on the phone to Prudential.
But even if that didn't do it the next season TB would have looked at Jason Starkey, Rahleigh Roundtree and Chris Disman starting on the Oline and called Met Life. Never mind that the first 5 WRs on the team in 2002 got hurt and missed most of the season. The leading WR had 400 yards!
Now if he'd made it to 2003 he might have been more apt to stick around with Q and then the next season with the drafting of Fitzgerald but our boys would have never put up with Brady long enough for that combo to ever get on the field together.
Heck the Cards didn't even give Warner 2 seasons before taking a QB with the #10 pick in the draft.
The Cards are almost as dysfunctional as my golf game.
