Schefter has reported blatantly false info before sooooo…..
Nowhere did I say he’s batting 1.000. He’s still more accurate than anyone in his business. Imo he’s not going to drop the bombshell of all bombshells without an inside source on TBs intentions.

I saw a tweet from Brady's dad saying rumors of retirement are false.

This is hysterical. I want him to come back only to stick it to the clowns who jumped the gun on the reporting
Can't wait until tomorrow's games when all the focus should be on the games being played, but they'll be talking TB12. lol

Brady is by far the best QB ever. Not even close. We will never see another QB appear in or win that many SBs. I wish they would have been able to complete the undefeated season. That's about the only thing he didn't accomplish.
How about greatest football player ever? I used to firmly believe it was Jim Brown or perhaps Jerry Rice or Joe Montana. However how can anyone really ever again even approach TB12s greatness—it’s absolutely staggering.

Mahomes is very young still if he stays healthy he absolutely has a shot to put up similar numbers. Brady’s numbers are what they are because he played forever, in a weak ass division as well for most of his career he was able to walk to the playoffs every year. He took advantage but let be real he is not the most talented arm or QB to play the game. He is extremely calm in big moments but that came over time with the best coach in the NFL!

Rather it's correct is not relevant.
Let the guy announce his own retirement....and if his wish was to wait until after the super bowl so as to not take the spotlight from the guys still playing, then respect that wish and wait.
Dudes a ******** that just wanted to get a scoop.
He needs his ass kicked
He needs his ass kicked for doing his job well. Didn’t hurt anyone. But needs his ass kicked.

How about greatest football player ever? I used to firmly believe it was Jim Brown or perhaps Jerry Rice or Joe Montana. However how can anyone really ever again even approach TB12s greatness—it’s absolutely staggering.
It’s a legit question. I think it’s a toss up between Brady and rice. Rice’s numbers are staggering.

I agree, and he's definitely the top qb and in the conversation of top 3 to 5 players of all time. That list has a few other factors to me, and has to factor in defense, maybe athleticism, things like that.

The thing about Brady is that he doesn't just have the wins, he has the stats too. Yes he played for a million years, but he has every meaningful Stat a QB could have. And guys that are 2nd through 5th or so in those stats...like Brees, Manning, etc...no where near the wins. Brady is #1 QB by a country mile in my book.

Overall best players ever...I might have to say Brady, Rice, Brown/Barry Sanders, Lawrence Taylor, and Reggie White? Thats just off the top of my head. I never saw Jim Brown play...but those other guys would be my list of greatest players I have ever seen

Yes.

the original tweet I saw included..."Brady doesnt want the news announced because he doesnt want to take the spotlight away from the playoffss"

I know some of you just dont get it, but thats TB showing respect to his peers, allowing them to soak up the moment they earned. something an athlete works hard for and many never get to experience.
this ******** canceled the action of TB showing respect to his peers.

Eh, with advances in nutrition and medicine, I think we'll see guys playing longer and longer. I haven't been following CP 3 too closely since he left OKC, but he's another guy that I think is staving off Father Time by how he trains. Guys like Paul and Brady are very rare, but are becoming more common.

greatest overall player??

Prime Time, Deion Sanders...... dont like the guy but he is the best player to ever step foot on the gridiron.
I actually did like the guy and I wouldn’t put him there. Aversion to tackling keeps him out. Best shutdown corner? By a country mile. Best football player ever? No.

No he didn’t. Tom stilled showed the respect. Ones person’s actions doesn’t cancel the other person’s actions. But they have different jobs. One’s job is break news. Should he not do that when he possesses it and hurt his employer? That’s literally not doing his job. You know, what he gets paid for. And it’s not like anyone is truly getting hurt. Are less people going to watch the games today? Talk less about the games?

Jerry Rice or Adrian Peterson were the best football players I’ve ever seen.

Rice had the hands, leaping ability, incredible toughness going over the middle and the most deceptive breakaway speed of all time. Also, never made a stink like a diva about anything and played best in the biggest games.

It’s also a reflection of the position those two (Brady and Paul) play and the way they play it. They play the most cerebral positions on the field/court in both sports. And they don’t excel due to physical advantages (Tom was never fast or had a cannon and Paul while quick was undersized and never a full blown physical freak). As a result their respective advantages didn’t wane as much as other top performers at their positions as they aged.

Jerry did some pouting when he was a Raider.
I was a huge Rice fan having grown up close to the bay...still think Montana is the GOAT... but Jerry lost my respect.

went to SDS for a pre season game of Raiders Cardinals... took my oldest son, he played WR and just idolized Jerry Rice, he was about 8 at the time..... we go to the back of the stadium after the game, where the players come out. Work our way close to the fence because we wanna try and get my boy a Jerry Rice autograph, he had asked me about it like eight times during the game... so the players come out...and Lo and Behold, Jerry is signing autographs!! on either side of us there are guys, obviously memorabilia resellers... dudes are loaded down with gear...footballs, caps, jerseys... Jerry works his way down the line, gets to the guy next to us and signs four or five items... looks at me and my son, moves past us, and signs three items for the guy on the other side of us... so, two dudes trying to make money off of his signature were good enough for his time... but a little boy that idolized him and just wanted tomeet him or have an autograph? Yeah, that wasnt worth his time.
**** Jerry Rice... that ************ can eat a huge bag of *****
