jerk.
Silly. Brady had a bad game.
I'm sorry but he is. I have seen him play since he came into this league. I don't care about league MVP's and Super Bowl rings he is. The Patriots run a high percentage offense and that greatly inflates his numbers. Their offense is predicated on Brady being able to throw screen and quick slants. This is exactly the reason why Matt Cassel was able to guide the Pats to their 11-5 record when he got hurt. He can not do the things Manning does and he doesn't have the awareness or arm Roethlisberger does.
And even in his bad game, he had an 299 yards, an 89 rating and 2TD's.
And how many of those passes went further than 10 yards in the air? This is my whole point. He had 299 yards on mostly bubble screens and quick slants. His numbers are skewed and if you just look at the box score you think to yourself holy crap. 299 yards on freaking screens. Come on.And even in his bad game, he had an 299 yards, an 89 rating and 2TD's.
Matt Cassel had success in the same system. And before people say what an awesome year Matt Cassel had, the Chiefs ran the same offense with a weak schedule.Joe Montana and Kurt Warner could not do a lot of things that manning and rothlisberger can do. So what?
Peyton Manning?
I still think he is an elite QB. By that I mean top 8. I speak to him being overrated when people say he is one of the best, if not the best QB of all time. That is what makes him overrated. If it is all the system then we need to run that system. Fact.
I don't know how you can say that he is elite and then say that he is overrated. Brady excels at playing exactly the type of game that his team needs him to play in order to win. Most great QB's do this. To say that his stats are inflated is one thing, but to say that he is overrated is quite another.
And if you are going to say that it is because of the system, well then Joe Montana, Peyton Manning, Brett Favre, Aaron Rodgers and Drew Brees are all overrated because they are all system QB's. Every QB runs a system, you may not prefer the west coast system over another offensive system, but it doesn't make their achievements any less impressive or valid.
Brady is an elite QB. I'm not saying he isn't. At the same time I feel he is very overrated and his numbers are skewed due to the high percentage offense the Patriots run. People keep saying he is a top 5 QB of all time. I disagree. I do not think he is better than Peyton Manning, Joe Montana, Steve Young, and Terry Bradshaw. I don't even think he is in the top 3 QB's today. I would take Manning, Roethlisberger, Rodgers, and Matt Ryan over Brady.
Yup, he can throw more than screen passes and he's more mobile.Matt Ryan?
If you don't think Brady can throw more than a screen pass effectively, you're either:Yup, he can throw more than screen passes and he's more mobile.

If you don't think Brady can throw more than a screen pass effectively, you're either:
A) Not watching him play
B) Just seeing what you want to see
or
C) Are delusional and/or not being honest with yourself and others.
Yup, he can throw more than screen passes and he's more mobile.
I was responding to the assertion that he can't throw more than screen passes.I have seen plenty of Patriot games and Brady play. If you can not see that their offense is based off of short slants and screen passes than you have either not watched enough Patriot games or are delusional.
Yup, he can throw more than screen passes and he's more mobile.
Brady has as many Super Bowl rings as Manning, Roethlisberger, Rodgers, and Matt Ryan combined. Scoreboard.I would take Manning, Roethlisberger, Rodgers, and Matt Ryan over Brady.
