wallyburger is a long time poster who makes good contributions, particularly on the college board. He is a U homer and backer of everything in Florida and the SEC.
wally's rare Cardinals posts tend, shall we say, not to judge too harshly, to negativity. A search through the history of his writings in this forum might not locate a single positive one, if any of you care to perform such a search.
Jeff just pointed out, in a gentle way, wally's history and chided him to admit it. That's all.
You should rubber stamp this response. You have used it on other occasions, verbatim.
My posts are rare because I am not a fanatic Cards fan anymore. I no longer live and die with some team or player's performance. When asked to identify the pro teams I follow closest the list would be;
1. White Sox
2. Blackhawks
3. Cards
4. Bullets ( not the Wizards )
What do they have in common? As a kid, I lived in Chicago for 3 years.
Spent most of the rest of my formative years in Florida. Many of those years there were no local Pro teams to follow. I stuck with my loyalties.
Addressing your invalid assumption that I am an SEC homer and a backer of every team in Florida.
I respect the quality of play in the SEC, but am far from being an SEC loyalist. No true Canes fan can also support the Seminoles and Gators. That invalidates your mantra that I love Florida teams across the board. Actually my second favorite college FB team is Texas Tech. I watch sports for the entertainment , not for the "egos and antics" of players.
I don't post often in the Cards forum, but do lurk quite often. I don't have the same passion as many of you do. I posted what I thought was a legitimate point for discussion, but once again discovered the level of reverence many have for the Cards and anything less has a tendency to fan the flames. I will refrain from posting here. Lurking and gaining insight will suffice.
