No Anquan Boldin? That list is bogus.

Great draft steal before 1967: Ernie McMillan 13th round 1961. McMillan was still the starting LT for the Cards in 1974.

The reason Houshmandzadeh makes it over Boldin is because he was drafted in the 7th round.

Boldin was mentioned in the beginning of the article, and would have made he said, had he played longer.......

Here are our top 50 draft steals. These lists reflect players selected since the NFL and the old American Football League merged drafts in 1967. For now, we'll leave off recent bargains such as QB Derek Anderson, WRs Anquan Boldin and Marques Colston, DE Osi Umenyiora and CB Asante Samuel until their impressive early careers play out.

There are many multiple Super Bowl winning teams at the top, just goes to show how important the draft is, versus free agency

Man those bring back some good memories. LC Greenwood could get after it couldn't he! Late round '69 to help form one of the greatest D's assembled.

Roy Green....

w/ Neil Lomax formed one of the MOST feared combo's in the NFL. I believe Green was drafted in the 4th round as a DB. I would also add Mel Gray who was the deep-threat for Jim Hart, and a I believe, a Pro-Bowler.

Mel Gray went in the 6th but we have to remember there were fewer teams then so that would probably equate to maybe third round today?

My favorite steal for the Cards was their first 10th round pick in an otherwise horrible 1986 draft, Vai Sikahema.

Biggest problem with these lists is that it excludes guys who were even more passed over... the undrafted.

Where would my 1999 Rams have been without Kurt Warner and London Fletcher?
