DE Malik Jackson, 26, DEN
DE Muhammed Wilkerson, 27, NYJ
DE Vinny Curry, 28, PHI
DE Olivier Vernon, 25, MIA
DE Jason Pierre-Paul, 27, NYG
OLB Nick Perry, 26, GB
OLB Bruce Irvin, 28, SEA
OLB Tamba Hali, 32, KC
OLB Mike Neal, 28, GB

If you could take one of these pass rushers for the Cardinals, who would it be?

For me is would be Wilkerson or Vernon.

Realistically, it would be surprising if either one of them will become available due to the f-tag. Would you spend 2 1st rounders on one of them? I am not sure that I would.

The two players here that I think the Cardinals could make a serious play for are Malik Jackson and Mike Neal.

Jackson is just the kind of inside finisher and penetrator they lack---and the Cardinals were very interested in Neal two years ago before he signed a two-year extension with the Packers. He has 19 career sacks.

Mitch here are the tackles and sack totals for your mentioned guys

Malik Jackson Denver- 45 tackles 5 sacks

J. Pierre-Paul NYG-26 tackles 1 sack
Nick Perry GB- 31 tackles 4 sacks
Bruce Irvin Seahags- 38 tackles 5.5 sacks

Looks like Wilkerson is difference maker and the others are like what the Cards altready have on roster.

Thanks, BW!

Can you find their post-season tackles and sacks? I know Nick Perry had 2.5 sacks in 2 games.

M.Wilkerson 1 and Malik Jackson 2. Jets may not be able to keep him and with Bowles being there we might be able to get something done in a sign and trade.

DE Muhammed Wilkerson, 27, NYJ

There is Wilkerson and everyone else is about 2 levels below him.

Wilkerson is a beast.

I think Tamba Hali MAY, I very much stress, MAY have people look past him for his age. Big mistake, Hali still can play.

JPP is pure NYG hype, I would rather just stick with Marcus Golden and Alex Okafor over JPP.

Wilkerson would be pricey---but worth it, imo.

Tamba Hali has a knee issue which he is addressing, but that could drive down his asking price and work to some team's advantage. He says he wants to stay in KC, so that may happen if both sides agree.

JPP was legit before the hand injury---now one has to wonder what that means for him going forward.

Bruce Irvin is intriguing to me because I think he would thrive in our 3-4 defense. He had 8 sacks his rookie year so he has shown some pass rush ability. But he's playing OLB in a 4-3 defense in SEA where the majority of the pass rush is coming from Bennett & Avril on the ends.

Irvin isn't some big, slow pass rusher. He ran a 4.5 40 yard dash at the Combine, not sure how big he was then but he's listed at 260 now.

Personally I am for taking 2 pass rushers in the draft but if ARZ could afford Irvin, a #2 CB and Stefan Wisniewski in FA, then it opens up the draft a little bit. Especially if they can get Spence in Round 1 to team with him & Golden.

Irvin has 12 sacks in his last 25 games, which is pretty good, but it wouldn't command him a top dollar contract. Were the Cardinals or some other team to offer him a contract that averages close to $6M a year, he might be inclined to take it. He says he is willing to play for somewhere around $4M a year to stay with the Seahawks. In fact, in his exit interview John Schneider asked him if he would consider a hometown discount and apparently Irvin said yes. Now---his agent may try to persuade Irvin to think differently, especially if higher offers become available.

We don't need a "good" pass rusher, we have a few "good" pass rushers in Campbell, Okafor & Golden. Those guys are your 5 - 8 sack guys just like most on the lists above. The worst thing we could do is go pay the inflated FA prices to another one of those guys. We need THE guy and yes, THE guy will cost BIIIIIIG bucks, but that one stud "holy mother of god what just happened, how did he get to the QB and force the ball out" guy is the difference between being a contender and being THE dominant team to beat.

I love Keims theory of finding low dollar 1 year guys, and if a JPP of Tamba Hali will come in on one of those contracts, sure, why not. But, we also must throw money at the one STUD pass rusher in this FA class, Wilkerson. He and Campbell rushing from the interior will open things up for the edge rushers.

Add a Jaylon Smith or Noah Spence in the draft and we just had a Broncos like off season transformation on defense.

Jaylon Smith shredded his knee. I'm on board taking him b/c he's a top-10 talent but I doubt he's 100% until 2017 at the earliest. Keim will take the BPA regardless of position and address needs in FA. I'm fine with Golden/Okafor plus a vet pass rusher younger than Freeney who can do more than pressure the QB.

He probably won't be 100% this season, but to say he "shredded" it is a stretch. There were initial fears of nerve damage, which would have been devastating, but those turned out to be false. All reports say the surgery "couldn't have gone better" and that he fully expects to be back for the start of the season.

Either way, Spence is my guy. I'd even trade up for him

You're wrong Mitch. You either misinterpreted or misread what he meant. He's not looking to play for $3M - $5M, but rather if Seattle comes withing that range of his asking price, he'll give them that discount.

We need to do whatever it takes to move up and get Spence this year. That means moving into the top ten. Swapping picks giving up a 3rd and a 3rd next year to.

If you think Jaylon Smith will be his old self 9 months after tearing his ACL/LCL then you're not being realistic. Tyrann Mathieu looked like a shell of himself in 2014 and wasn't 100% until this past season. If we're drafting Smith I don't want him playing at all next year.

Do they even do sign and trades in the nfl??? That's an nba thing.

And I think Wilkerson will be f-tagged. Young talented dudes don't reach free agency unless they're a headache (see suh).
