But seriously, I hope he makes the roster, just so he can take a steamy dump on their chemistry.

He won't even make the roster. I saw him play tonight and he couldn't even catch open passes. He had one long catch, but that was all. He missed all the out route catches, hitting him in the chest, and several square-in's and slants. Never thought I'd say that, because I always thought he had good hands, and you don't really lose that, but he dropped so much stuff tonight. Just drops galore.

Really? He's always had awful hands. He caught everything with his body. He's admitted as much for years

In fairness, you guys are talking like he ought to make the roster in a cake walk. As far as NFL players go--in particular NFL WRs--he's ancient. Give the man some credit for getting this far, IMO. Especially after being out of the NFL for a year.

His antics are BS, but he's one of the most talented WRs ever to play the game.

He's top 5 all-time in catches, yards and TD's, I doubt that's all body.
It's ALL body, but not in the way you're talking about. He was just stringer than everyone else. He could get position to the point where it didn't matter that his hands were average.

I don't even think it's true that his hands sucked, and I'd like to see a reference where he admitted his hands sucked. His hands, in my opinion were really good. You don't make all those catches with bad hands. You don't win the NFC championship and make the winning catch with your hands between two defenders if your hands suck.

Where'd you get that from?

http://voices.yahoo.com/nfl-receivers-bad-hands-8719331.html

Terrell Owens- TO has the most drops in NFL history. Even though he has a chiseled frame and possesses freakish athleticism, his inability to squeeze the pigskin has always been his biggest problem (that and his bad attitude). Every year, you could put together a highlight reel of bad drops by Owens--you would definitely have enough material to work with.

Thats just from a quick google search

Yahoo voices without links to actual stats = poopie. And just providing quotes = crap. I don't doubt what you're saying, but I'd like to see some actual statistics. Like when the NFL says Fitz leads the league in the last 5 years with only 1% drops, I tend to believe that, because they compile those stats.

I don't really care though, you can even be right if it makes you feel better. But the truth is I don't believe what you're saying or it would be an NFL statistic that's easy to find. Doesn't really matter to me, if you want to say TO has bad hands, then he does, because I don't really care, I already said he was getting cut for bad play tonight and wouldn't play in the NFL again.

I was merely surprised he was dropping wide-open passes and you guys were like oh he does that all the time. LOL.

I didn't say he was a bad WR. He has bad hands. Big difference

He was a physical freak that could get away with catching with his body. Age has caught up with him and he can't do it anymore. So he has to rely on his hands which he has admitted aren't good.

It's always been his achilles heel. here's a blog post that's a moment in time from the 09 season:

http://espn.go.com/blog/afceast/post/_/id/5675/grade-for-t-o-ginn-stuckey-incomplete

Here's another reference to it:
He may drop more balls than any other great receiver ever. He wouldn't be alone on the Jets either. Edwards also has forged a reputation as having poor hands to go along with his immense talent,

Read more at: http://www.nesn.com/2010/07/new-york-jets-lucky-to-apparently-be-dodging-terrell-owens-bullet.html

An article about him being overrated in Dallas:
And by the way, during his two years in Dallas, he has dropped 27 passes, according to Stats, LLC. That's more than anybody else in the league (Cleveland's Braylon Edwards is second with 20).
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/columns/story?columnist=paolantonio_sal&id=3328008

Point is, it's documented. It's not something anyone is making up. I like TO as a football player. He was one of the best ever...but not because of his hands.

It's official, he's cut. I thinlk no other team will take a chance on him so he's done.

Agree. Wish no ill-will on the guy. Hope he gets his life on track.

How? He's broke and has no other discernible skills, professionally or in life. I have no idea what else he can do. I don't wish him I'll, but I can't see him doing anything else.
