Tottenham prepare for Fulham clash as Postecoglou considers changes
Tottenham Eye Fulham Clash with Squad Rotation on Postecoglou’s Mind
Ange Postecoglou faces a selection conundrum as Tottenham prepare for a tough Premier League encounter against Fulham on Sunday. With Spurs riding high after a gruelling midweek European battle, squad rotation appears inevitable.
Tactical Adjustments Following Europa League Triumph
Tottenham’s 3-1 comeback win over AZ Alkmaar on Thursday secured their place in the Europa League quarter-finals but left the squad physically drained. Postecoglou admitted he will need to make changes, especially given the tight turnaround from Thursday to Sunday.
“Yeah, I think so, I think we need to,” he acknowledged. “We saw how hard it is backing up. Sunday-Thursday isn’t too hard but Thursday-Sunday is a massive task. It helps that we are at home and with us having a more healthy squad it’s good for us to make some changes.”
Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero are both available, but their game time must be carefully managed after injury-laden campaigns. Archie Gray is in contention to start, having been rested in midweek.

Midfield and Attack Options Open for Spurs
Teenager Lucas Bergvall could be given a breather after showing signs of fatigue in the closing stages against AZ. That opens the door for Rodrigo Bentancur or Yves Bissouma, neither of whom started in Europe but are fit and ready to feature.
Further forward, Mathys Tel is likely to continue playing out wide. Postecoglou recently indicated that, with Dominic Solanke available again, Tel’s best contributions may come from the flanks rather than as a central striker.

Injury Concerns and Absences
While Tottenham’s squad depth has improved, several key players remain sidelined. Dejan Kulusevski, Richarlison, and Kevin Danso will all miss out, though they are hopeful of returning after the international break. Meanwhile, Radu Dragusin’s season is over after suffering an ACL injury.
Despite the selection challenges, Spurs will be eager to continue their push for a top-four finish. Fulham, however, have proved stubborn opposition at Craven Cottage, making this another significant test for Postecoglou’s evolving side.
Predicted Tottenham XI (4-3-3):
Vicario; Spence, Romero, Gray, Udogie; Bentancur, Sarr, Maddison; Johnson, Solanke, Tel
