Who knows, maybe the Vikings will go after Gurley or Gordon with their 1st round pick, and then be more open to trading AP. Perhaps it's not about waiting until we are on the clock, but whether or not the Vikings are on the clock to get one of the top two backs.

Most have thought a 2nd round pick for a replacement makes sense, but maybe the 2nd rounder is so they can get a quality player at another position. I've seen Gurley rising pretty high recently in mocks.

So I was telling a cowboys fan to stay away from AP and he argued back not interested because of all pro offensive line. Said they have mcfadden (slight chuckle) someone who I dont know and......Ryan Williams! (laughter)(cant stop laughing)(he still has a serious face)

Then he starts to tell me how he flashed last preseason (LOL!) and how he was 100% by mid year and other teams kept trying to pick him up to active roster and he was turning them down to remain a cowboy (LMFAO!!!)

Maybe the Cardinals want to see who is there at #24 before trading the pick. This would be a smart approach.

1. AP must be willing to cut his salary in half. At least. That's $6.5M this year.
2. Our 3rd. Or swap our 2nd for their 4th.

If happening, this is going to have to happen after the first round is over, and before the second begins, because AP is going to have to be willing to restructure, so Minnesota would have to give a quick negotiating window.

He is not, will not and was not ever going to cut salary. The word is that he would restructure to make it more cap friendly.

Charles Robinson (Yahoo Sports) says the Vikings are demanding a one and Cardinals are willing to part with a second. Poll coming to express your opinion.

Too much baggage
Too much mileage
Too much salary
Too much cost

Would you make this trade?

Lets say it is MN pick at 11, and Bud Dupree is still on the board. MN gives us pick 11 we select Dupree and get AP, in return we give them pick 24, 55 and next years one.

Mn could select any RB they want at 24 except maybe Gurley, or get the CB they desire and a RB in the second. They could sell it to their fan base they got a 1 for AP next year and moved down 13 spots like their GM said they wanted to and got 2 picks (theCB they wanted and a RB to replace AP).

Sorry Mike, I just don't see Dupree being that good & feel he's gonna be highly overdrated if he goes in the top 18

The reason I mentioned this trade was because I said in another thread that this may be the year for the cards to mortgage the future for a pass rusher. We are on a short quest for the Lombardi, and I think that is one of our biggest needs along with an ISLB.
