Trade Posssibility?

I would love to have Texiera if we had intentions of re-signing him, but it doesn't appear that way. Not to mention Atlanta would have to get a pretty good return for him because if he leaves as a FA during the off-season they will get two supplemental first rounders. We can't deplete our farm system any more.

With all this Manny talk, it makes me wonder, what teams could actually take on Manny?

Though it is maybe a 1 percent chance of happening, I can always come up with scenarios, right? So here's my attempt.

Something that may matchup salary wise:

DBacks get:
Manny Ramirez ($18 Million)
Craig Hansen (.3 Million)
Kevin Cash (.4 Million)


Red Sox get:
Eric Byrnes (Can't trade a player on the DL, right?) ($7 Million)
Chad Tracy ($4 Million)
Brandon Lyon ($3.2 Million)
Gerardo Parra (MLC)
Chris Snyder ($1.9 Million)


This would allow us to have a lineup of:

1) Hudson - 2B
2) Young - CF
3) Jackson - 1B
4) Ramirez - LF
5) Reynolds - 3B
6) Drew - SS
7) Upton - RF
8) Montero - C

Reserves of Ojeda, Clark, Cash, Hammock, Romero...

Never will happen, but I can think of scenarios...

Bay is also under contract for all of next year. So, if Arizona's gonna make a splash for a big bat, I'd rather them look at Bay.

No reason in the world for boston to accept that deal. None whatsoever.
