Board is slow...

Suns:
Aaron Williams
Dajuan Wagner

Nets:
Jeff McInnis
3 Million Cash

Cavs:
Howard Eisley
Casey Jacobsen
Draft Rights to Milos Vujanic
Nets 1st Rounder

Roster:

Steven Hunter F/C
Amare Stoudemire F/C
Shawn Marion F
Joe Johnson G/F
Steve Nash PG

Quentin Richardson G/F
Leandro Barbosa G
Maciej Lampe F/C
Aaron Williams F/C
Jake Voskuhl C
Dajuan Wagner G
Zarko Cabarkapa F

IL:
Jackson Vroman F
Yuta Tabuse PG

Nets get PG to cover for Kidd (expiring contract as well) and Cash ;) . Cavs get 1st Round Pick, 2 young talents, and a back-up PG (Jacobsen or Jackson can start, leaving a shooter on floor for James). Suns get a good F/C and a young talented PG/SG (both with short contracts, if all fails).

Nets would need a 4/5 but Kidd could be traded or a minimum contract.

Aaron Williams is almost 33 years and his stats aren't as good as Jake Voskuhl's. Why on earth would the Suns give up two valuable trading pieces for another marginal backup?

Without using math, the stats look about as even as possible at 48 minutes(both have strength's) - Eisley is untradeable or negative value by most members comments; all my Milos Vujanic trade proposal's - come back with, he has no value; Jacobsen doesn't have to be be involved (works with or without) but with 14 players on Roster and Suns receiving Wagner (combo Guard) and most Trade Proposal's on board favoring Suns - I threw him in.

The Draft pick is from Nets not Suns - Aaron Williams is basically Voskuhl with a jumpshot (another big), Malik Rose trade would need more than Eisley involved - Wagner has 1 year on contract at around 3 million... while Rose has multiple years. Aaron Williams is almost 33 but has 2 year contract at around 3 million (cheaper than Rose). Might not be an upgrade at Center but an addition, while losing Eisley's contract.

With 2 Draft Picks next year, Suns could Draft an upgrade at Center; package both for higher pick etc. I'm not sure what you think of Rose but Suns did show an interest in Aaron Williams in reports this year and Wagner was in Hoopshype article mentioned as trade bait.

Oh well, I did get a few responses

I really, really don't like Wagner. This guy is lazy with an attitude.

As for Williams, he's only 6'9". Yes he has jump shot, but he's not really a center.

If the Suns are going to give up Jacobsen and the rights to Vujanic (Eisley is just ballast), I'd rather make a run at Pollard who is actually a center that can battle for position in the low post. Williams doesn't add anything the Suns don't have.

LOL I believe I've already made Trade Proposal's for Pollard, Olowokandi, Swift, Dampier, Curry, etc. This was my first for Aaron Williams (from what I can remember) :D

My theory on trading is that it is a mistake to use key trading pieces for guys who aren't going to be part of the team's future. Aaron Williams doesn't fit that mold.

Obviously Casey is "expendible", but he is far from worthless. Good outside shooters that at least try on defense have some trade value. He could be a key additional piece for getting a serious center, so giving him away on a smallish, older journeyman simply reduces the Suns buying power.

Pollard may not be much better, but he is a lot bigger than Aaron Williams and has had success battling monsters in the paint. That KIND of player has real value to the Suns, even if he doesn't get a huge number of minutes. Right now the Suns do not match up against power teams.

I can agree with that but a player on that list - Olowokandi is young and should be available for cheap, most my think of him as a bust (for #1 pick obviously he was) but he's no longer with Clippers and I'm not going to judge him when he was picked, that's over with - he impressed me on a lot of the games I watched (while watching Richardson) the last few years. I haven't gone over film lately for Pollard but I like Olowokandi's game more - around 8 rebounds and 1.5 blocks for most of his career (bigger body as well). Pollard was an effective player himself - I'd like to see what Suns do...
