Trading Brandon Drury may haunt the Braves for a long time

Marte has played better than any of them at SS. Drury and Ahmed just don't help the team. And Owings at SS is overall mediocre.

I feel sorry for Drury. He was moved from his natural position of 3B, last season to LF and this season to 2B. That is a lot to ask of a young player.

Drury from 3B to LF to 2B. Owings from SS to CF to 2B to RF. The experiment is failing.

That seems to indicate General Managers who can't stock their Major and Minor League teams with strength in reserve . . . at their natural positions.

It doesn't give them an alibi. It highlights their lack of skill.

Actually Drury played 6 positions last year and as you said, he is still playing out of position and batting .272. The hate for him on this board is amazing. He is not the problem, but I guess they have blame somebody. Let's trade him for an old guy past his prime who hits .222 instead of trying to coach up a young salary cap friendly youngster. Perfect.
