He is fantastic. Lots of mental mistakes this game, particularly on defense, but that is understandable for a rookie. He has exceeded my expectations thus far this preseason, and my expectations were unreasonably high.

Ayton is the Suns franchise center they have been waiting for since inception. The Suns nailed this draft pick.

Well I can bet you the team will make a trade this season. But there some good free agent PG available next year, I don't expect or want this team to be a playoff team unless they have a starting caliber PG locked up for 2-3 years.

He's far from the only one with that opinion. He's just the only one making a hundred redundant posts a day about it.

The Suns cannot build a winning culture with their current PG rotation. It's not about contending for the playoffs or flirting with a free agent next summer. It's about having a coherent five-man squad on the floor.

If Booker is sacrificed to PG duties, it will stunt his development as a SG, and if doesn't blossom as a SG, you've wasted him. Over the summer, the front office promised that Booker would not have to play PG. The reasons for that were sound, and now it looks like they've painted themselves into a corner.

PG is the most critical position on the floor to run a functional offense. Anyone who has been paying attention can see how impaired the Suns are. It's not because Booker is out or Ayton is tentative or Bender is an idiot. It's because the ship is being captained by someone who's utterly unqualified for the responsibility.

The Suns' PG situation is a crisis, and a team with a crisis at the most important position on the floor is a team in crisis, period. Another season of crisis is going to result in a step backward, not forward, in a year when the Suns can least afford it.

I will now shut up about this point, because this post expresses my position and concerns perfectly.

I would only add that the inability to add in 2019 remains relevant to me insofar as I believe it is therefore futile just to sit back and wait until 2019, and therefore the only way to get the point guard we need to facilitate a winning culture is through trade, and sooner rather than later (before the losing culture perpetuates itself that much more).

Not sure if you have been paying attention, but this system doesn't just leave the ball in the PGs hands to facilitate the offense. It quickly moves out of the PGs hands and becomes a motion/ ball movement offense. Adding a good facilitating PG would help, but it won't be a magic cure to what we are seeing. The cure for this will be guys getting more experience in this offense and collectively making better decisions.

I noticed Reed got blocked going to the rim a couple times in the scrimmage as well. Seems to be struggling in that area.

Josh Jackson is not good. He's just not. Like 2-13right now. He's 100% the player I wanted in that draft but he hasn't developed at all. Super frustrating watching him.

Bender is buried on the Bench. I've never seen a player with so much talent and such little confidence in himself.

IF you think you can overhaul the roster hire a new coach and learn a whole new system and have it be running smooth after 2 pre season games your delusional.
