Portland is terrible but the Suns are playing some entertaining ball tonight. Len actually looks like a legit player out there. Oh and I forgot how much I miss Steve Nash...

Anyone else feel like Morris is dogging it? Doesn't seem to be much effort or emotion in his game.

Great ceremony for Nash. Looking at the highlights and how the crowd embraced and invested in those teams really makes me miss those times.

The Blazers without Alderidge are so much less potent. I know that's obvious, but crazy how 1 player can make such an impact on a team

I don't think he is dogging it but his failure to workout with other Suns players during the offseason hurts his chemistry with the team.

I was at the game and watched Morris a lot. He is a lazy defender, rarely putting his hands up and barely moving much. On offense in the first quarter he stayed on the left block almost every possession, occasionally wandering out to 3 point range. Every player but Morris was setting picks and screens while moving without the ball. I don't know if it came across or was seen on TV but he was actually boo'ed during the starting lineup for the Suns which isn't surprising. Casual fans know about all his disparaging remarks though and want him gone just as much as most do here.

Yeah Morris still acting up. Slow out there being caught flat footed. Looks like he's still pouting but couldn't help himself and got involved more in the second half.

Weems shot is flat. Tries to pass back over the left shoulder but had it deflected and go out of bonds twice.

I suspect the Blazers are going to be one of the bottom 2 or 3 teams in the West, but a good win nonetheless. Rotations made sense tonight, movement seemed pretty fluid (although shot selection was a bit dicey), team played solid D, we killed them on the glass. A nice consistent effort throughout the night, we won every quarter.

Also, TJ Warren is a stud. That guy can flat out score.

Good win. Needed it badly.

Warren's play is a delight.

I think Tucker needs to be reduced to a role where he comes in as an energy guy off the bench, that's it. I think having Warren in the starting lineup will likely increase Warren's confidence plus allow us to get off to really good starts at the beginning of games.

Plus I think Tucker will benefit quite a bit off the bench.

On another note, looks like Teletovic may be out of the regular rotation. Just 3 mins played today.

Leur has rightfully earned a spot in the rotation over him. 8 rebounds in 14 minutes of play, that's what I'm talking about!

^Absolutely! I've made a point of watching him closely and I agree ***** isnt putting out the effort especially offensively. I think he's purposely sucking to force the Suns into trading him. The Suns built him up saying he was their best player, well, ***** is showing them maybe he's not, intentionally.

I watched the full game, which I don't get to do that much anymore. Bledsoe impressed me. He's still a mediocre ball handler and doesn't see the full floor well, but his body language was better than I saw last year. He looked like the leader of the team, even more than Chandler, although Chandler probably had the greater impact.

At least based on this one game, the pecking order between the Suns' two "starting PGs" is clear. It's Bledsoe, then Knight. Or really, Bledsoe, then Price, then Knight. The box score shows a good line for Knight, but he was invisible most of the time. And I'm not sure I've ever seen a player who is so in love with taking shots a step inside the three-point arc -- he'll pass up an open three to take a contested 21-footer.

I was concerned about Knight's role before the start of the season, but I'm even more concerned having seen him now. If Bledsoe is the choice to initiate the offense, and Knight is preoccupied with low-percentage shots, what role is there for him to play?

Leuer is playing great though. Very efficient game AND he is rebounding. So, if Morris is dogging it. . .

You have to think that just a little coaching could fix that. It is such a fixable flaw in a player.

Good for the Suns, I didn't get to see any of the game but I'm glad they bounced back after an inauspicious start to say the least.

That low percentage shot he takes is an issue that many Bucks fan had with him as well.

If the Pistons, Bucks and probably his college coaches all couldn't fix him to stop taking such long contested 2s, are you really that confident in the Suns coaching staff of all things to fix that?

Its simply a choice, not a skill, so yes, it should be fixable. I do not get the sense the Knight is not teachable.

I'm not saying he's uncoachable but considering this is an issue that has lingered him for all of his pro career, I get the feeling that other coaching staffs have tried to "teach" him about not taking hat shot but it hasn't worked thus far.
