What's up with the ending. The girl is with her mother and then he walks towards the bad guys. I know his life was supposed to have been part of the deal, but couldn't he have escaped very easily? Could he have had Christoper Walken come out of hiding to shoot the bad guys with one of those shoulder missiles when the girl was safe?

I thought this thread was about buying a trailer for a man who caught on fire

He was dead anyway. You could tell--Denzel did a great job with portraying him as minutes away from dying. There was a reason the exchange was on top of a bridge in the middle of nowhere.

I thought this movie was good but it could have been much better if Tony Scott would've shown a little more restraint. His direction really aggravated me.

As a media arts major down here at the U i loved this movie. I was actually thinking about changing majors but this movie really made me interested in making films. It was very very good and i enjoyed the way everything was edited. The director did a great job with this film in my opinion.

Really?

I'm a UofA media arts grad, (sorry to hear you are the same) :) and I liked the movie, but it was really over-edited--like most of Tony Scott's stuff, it was mostly style, and very little substance. Some of the trick were cool, but after a half hour, it gets really old.

Yea i can understand that. I enjoyed the editing for most of the movie but Denzel Washington was great as always and made it interesting. I was also wondering what you are doing with your UofA media arts degree?

Not a whole hell of a lot. :) It's not worth jack here in LA, except maybe to show that you were able to complete a 4-year degree. I've never gotten a job based on that degree. Sorry to sound bad, but most film degrees don't really matter.

I am just finishing an intense program in Post-production here in LA--very tiring, but I only have 2 classes left and am graduating 2 months early. And there are already some prospects in editing out there (I just sent my resume out for the first time yesterday).

Congradulations on that. I dont plan on going fully into film making. I plan on working in sports radio/ television and use what i've learned to do production in both.

Absolutely loved this movie.

Denzel is truly a man among boys when it comes to acting!

Was most surprised that it was about 4 seats from being sold out on Memorial Day!
