FWIW: both Raanta and Kuemper are on the ice in their throwback pads, presumably since the home opener is a Saturday and they’ll want to bust them out. No Adin Hill on the ice today, which is hopefully a good sign for Raanta.

Tocchet updates:
Oliver Ekman-Larsson still sick with the flu but “on the back end of it.
Antti Raanta was a full participant in practice and is close to game shape.
Adin Hill did not practice due to what Tocchet called a “separate issue that I’m not going to talk about.”

Tocchet said that Raanta felt good today. Wouldn’t confirm definitively but implied he’ll be ready for opening night, barring any setbacks.
Hill not being on the ice was a “separate issue”, but Tocchet wouldn’t specify of what nature. Said he wasn’t going to talk about it.

Final note from Coyotes practice today: Tocchet still didn’t commit to roles or final places for either Hayton or Söderström, but said they both had good camps. Referred to their still-to-be-determined status in the lineup and for the upcoming season as a “day to day thing”.

With Hill back down, have to assume Raanta got the thumbs up after having a good practice.
Can confirm Hill didn’t leave for Tucson before practice, though. Still had a stall with all his gear when practice was over; likely were waiting to see how practice went for Raanta.

President of hockey operations John Chayka said the Coyotes have decided that defenseman and 2019 first-round pick Victor Söderström will return to Sweden and continue to develop with Brynäs this season. He will not be on the opening-night roster.

Also, forward and 2018 first-round pick Barrett Hayton has made the Coyotes roster for opening night. "We expect Barrett to contribute to our team this year," Chayka said.

No practice today for the Arizona Coyotes, but no real surprises to be expected with regards to the roster. Victor Söderström back to Sweden, Barrett Hayton on the final roster, and very probable Antti Raanta will be cleared for opening night in Anaheim.
