I too, heard it was not that good. Still will go see it because of the action in the movie theater is always the best experience. To me, Godzilla is the best of the summer that I have seen. Thought it was better than X-Men. Don't get me wrong, I did like X-Men. The one I was very disappointed in was, The Amazing Spiderman"! It was so long, slow and so cheezy with jokes. Think I will I be disappointed in Transformers with what I thought of the summer movies that I have already seen??

I was very disappointed with The Amazing Spiderman too. Although I did like X-Men better than Godzilla, I really like Godzilla. So, based on that, you may walk away from Transformers the same was I did....entertained.

Perfect. I'm all about the entertainment. I will still see it regardless if its not the best!

This was ABYSMAL.

I once saw the first one on TNT.. I quit paying attention to it at the beginning when huge robots were outside his house, and not one single person noticed them.. Never wanted to see anything ever again about Transformers..

Well we got bored Sat so we took 8 people to see it. Lucy's parents are early 60
s. we're both 40's, 3 teenagers and an 8 year old. Pretty much everyone liked it. the kids loved it.

Certainly not a great plot or great acting but entertaining. We didn't see it in 3D was a bit annoyed the 17 year old figured out the times but she didn't pay attention to 3D or not so we saw it in regular SD, still good on a big screen but would have been better in 3D.

8 people 80 bucks we weren't bored during it though so it was good.

I have never said this. 3D is bloody awful, overpriced, and headache-inducing.

When dcr says "Linda didn't like it", he's not giving my dislike a fair enough description. I was so horrifically bored that I was fully cognizant of my boredom. A lot of movies are boring, and afterward, I'll realize it was boring or that I was bored, but not WHILE I'm watching. This was so bad, that I was constantly thinking to myself, "How can an action movie (Transformers, no less) be THIS BORING???"

Keep in mind, I actually enjoyed all the other ones. This one was horrible.

Mark Wahlberg is one of my favorite actors! perfect film
Wahlberg was the only thing bearable to watch in this $hitfest. I just don't like how Bay has bastardized the TF's and can't wait for someone to reboot it. The whole franchise is just over the top unbelievable action and fireworks. I say fireworks because they don't even look like explosions - just large sparklers.

If you took out the turtles in the new TMNT trailers you'd think it was a trailer for TF's.

I love going to a movie and being entertained even with the visuals, but I've yet to see a Bay movie that does that.

You need to see The Island then. BY FAR, Bay's best high-concept genre movie. Only ones that come close are The Rock and Bad Boys 1.

Even he is hard for me to stomach sometimes. He has about as much range as a putter on a putt putt course. He pretty much plays the same scowling character in every film.

Ok, I'll give you The Island and The Rock. Though with the Rock he was still a youngling director - and maybe better? Never cared for Bad Boys..

In action movies true, but his two best movies are still Boogie Nights and Three Kings, imo.

I liked both of those movies and I am not saying he has no acting ability. Only that he has zero range. It's sort of like knowing you can only sing falsetto and making sure every single you cut is in that range.

Maybe I am not explaining it well but almost every movie I already know how he is going to play the part. He in essence "Mark Wahlbergs" it. I actually think his brother is the better actor.

Ever since I was in the movie Three Kings with Wahlberg, his acting seems so fake to me, even in this movie. Maybe its because of watching him act in person made start thinking this about him. To me I was glad I didn't see him acting more. I like him, just seems to fake to me when he is acting. I love watching Wahlbergers as he is real on there.

The movie itself was good. The story was good to, and I didn't think the movie was long at all. I wish it kept going as it seemed to finish to fast with other items that seemed to need to be taken care of. I liked it, and would see it again.

I recently watched it. Wow, 2 hours and 45 minutes. Sheesh!

16% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes lol

It settled at 18%, but 51% from the audience. Highest grossing film of 2014 and currently ranked the 20th of all-time.

I just saw they made another one in 2017; no surprise there. There's a lot of people out there that love this stuff.
