The practice area is quite small. I did a tour when I considered getting season tickets or and I was amazed how compact that area was. I'm not sure what upgrades they seek though.

They need to build something offsite, which seemed to be the plan for a while but with all of the renovation talk I haven't heard much of the practice facility except that is included in the big cost of everything. I would imagine a new building would be quite expensive and that's probably why Sarver is "chipping in" on the renovations, his share will probably cover that and only that but it appears he's actually paying a lot for the arena work. I don't know, I hope it's discussed more before it comes up for voting.

I'd suspect it's more the entitlement he likely grew up with as a basketball star and the son of a basketball star.

I'm curious what percentage of NBA teams have a team chef or what our practice facility looks like in comparison to the average NBA training facility. If we are one of the only teams without a chef than I wonder why they don't have one. It's not like it would cost the all that much money to employ one.

I’m just not willing to give the Suns any credit for this deal. I’m excited to see Oubre but his acquisition was serendipity at best.

I know Dudley openly tweeted about the Suns having the worst practice facilities in the league about 2 weeks ago and Booker actually retweeted it. I thought that was telling. Dudley isn't one to bash the Suns just to bash them and Booker retweeting is essentially agreeing with his take. Dudley has been to enough teams to make a call like that and if it's bad enough that someone like Booker who only knows the Suns facilities, to a certain extent, agrees then it's bad.

I was mostly referring to the notion Rivers seems to think he is above being on a rebuild team.

I'm not sure what is going on in his mind but his big contract days are likely over.

If I were him, I'd be more worried about getting the next contract.

Don't get me wrong, I am NOT saying we should declare him a bust and move on. I am just saying that right now he has about as much value as Bender and Chriss.

This is contradictory to me. To me Bender and Chriss are busts. Jackson will be great in a year or two. He's also contributing more in the minutes he gets (I know he's up and down) than what Bender would have done. I don't know what Chriss is doing these days. Is he still in Houston? Does he get any playing time?

Chemistry is a huge driving factor in winning games in the NBA. They dump the guys that were hurting the team's chemistry and they immediately start playing much better. The 2013/14 team was a prime example of chemistry as that was not an overly talented team and yet they won nearly 50 games.

Oubre will be inconsistent, but he’s a solid player and fits nicely for the long term. There’s no reason to trade any of the wings. Their development and versatility - all 4 - could be key to the teams improvement. They guard and play multiple positions.

I generally agree with the importance of chemistry but I hope everyone remembers this Magic game - we scored only four points in OT and won because our D was good. Everyone loves offense and teams pay outrageous prices for top offensive players What it means is that defense costs less! Assuming you keep your wits about you. We didn't do that with Harrison - as soon as he got a few starts he soon has visions of the big bucks he could get if he could become a decent starter and he stopped defending. You can't blame him for going for the gold but he didn't have the skill set, probably. He probably needed to get cut to realize he'd only stay in the league if he focussed on defense. The lure was too much where in reality the difference between staying in league and not is vast and should be every young guy's first priority. Sheq probably got lucky and realized it in time. I'm just trying to give an idea how you have to handle defensive first players.Make sure they know how you value their D. Now and then there's an Oladipo who suddenly bursts the mold.
