He needed to be traded because he doesn't play the game the right way....

At the time we were led to believe that, but the truth has come out. Montero was much more to blame and was a locker room cancer.

Bauer started Game 1 for Cleveland. Lasted 4 2/3 innings, giving up 3 ER

He was 12-8 this year with an ERA of 4.42

Respectfully disagree. Bauer as the rookie should adjust.

I disagree.

In regards to both pitchers and QBS, they have an extremely specialized nature to their performance. They have to do things their way, otherwise they cant perform up to reason you took them in the first place.

Its not a rookie vs vet thing. Its not a habit thing. Its not a preference thing. Its literally an issue of capability. They have to do it this way, or they cant do it at all.

Thats why elite QBs and elite pitchers are 1 in a billion.

Catchers are a dime a dozen.

Well, Bauer is showing he is a Dbacks starter at heart - can't make it past the fourth inning.

In two starts, 7.2 innings pitched, 5.87 ERA.

Bauer has still showed he can pitch and it was still a monumental gaffe for the Dbacks to give up on him after a handful of starts.

The Indians are using 3 SP in the WS, they are asking a lot of all of them.
When I first heard it, I thought it was a bad tactical move. It doesn't matter that a half a century ago, all starting pitchers pitched on 3 days rest. With the opposition now pitching on 4 days rest, it put the Indians at a disadvantage, as evidenced by their losses in games 5, 6 and 7. It was obviously Cleveland's series to lose and they did.

Francona's hand was forced with injuries though. I think he did a great job managing the team he had.

That's why he limited his SP innings so tightly though. Because he knew he was expecting a lot of them.

Just for Jon....

Trevor Bauer is 7-0 with a 2.42 ERA in his last 8 starts and even has a scoreless 0.2 IP relief appearance in the middle of that.

Forget Bauer. Remember when we dumped that loser Max Scherzer?
