I apologize you are correct I miss read my notes and thought i had two down. It is once 4-14-1986 against the Dodgers. He struck out three times in the game.

My lack of being able to read my notes is very impressive. But yeah when you consider how long Gwynn was in the game to only have one of those performances is amazing. The topic came up because we watched his son have back to back 3 strikeout games in the minors.

No kidding. Gwynn was absolutely amazing. I'll never forget his conversations with Ted Williams and the 1999 All-Star game introductions when all the players gathered around Williams.

I saw him play a 3 game series at Candlestick when I was 8 years old. It was the last season before the crash.
