I hope it's fine. I'm p1ssed off that if it needs to be scoped that it wasn't done in January, where he'd already be done rehabbing it. It makes me mad, as a fan, when players who know they need surgery sit back and have fun during the off-season and when it's time to get back to work show up and then state they need surgery.

I take it as a 'me' mentality and not a team player.

Everyone on the injured list last year, other than Rolle was reported as going to be ready for training camp. Rolle was not on that list, but he was on the same injured list as the rest.

while I have no Dr. training, I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

I have good news Antrell.....You are one of my three favorite players on the team and thats why i had your picture in my avatar. Unfortunatly this is the equivelent of the si cover jinx and madden football cover combined. Since i have been on this board i have had, Q (knee injury right after), Amare (nuff said) and you Mr. Rolle. After reading you are still in pain, I have made the sacrifice and have put another player in pains way.

Sorry it took so long.....

Are you sure it wasn't a Motel 6? Did you pay by the night or by the hour?

I hope it's nothing major.

Limping this far out from surgery sounds very serious for a CB to me. With only a few months until August I am worried. Very worried. A CB probably more than anyone needs cutting ability, speed, quick stop and go. We better be looking at answer to this problem. I frankly would be surprised to see him 100% come August?

Ouch...please be a minor injury. Rolle is a stud...when healthy.

He really has not played enough to be classified as anything at this point IMHO. We hope he will be a stud but better horses than him have broke down and their carreers ended prematurely.

agreed.

I don't think he'll even play this season...my opinion and if he does it'll be for limited action. He'll see the sidelines a lot more than playing time.

Why is there no activity of surgery now...today? He was a top pick, he's expected to be starting and covering the #1 WR's.

w/out Rolle, we got Macklin, Green, and Tate, UGH!!!

My son is Navy Special Ops...I consider him an elite athlete. He was injured and had to have total reconstruction of his left knee (ACL, MCL, Meniscus, bone fractures)...a year later he was running full speed with minor soreness. The point is, as an elite athlete, your willingness to dedicate yourself to rehab and your willpower to succeed will determine how quickly you return to service...no excuses! Let's see how bad he wants it

What do you actually know about knee surgeries and rehab, that allow you to conclude that Rolle is either out for the season, or limited in his play?

And please don't say... it's just an opinion.

If it can't in some way be supported by fact or some anecdotal evidence, then it's, sorry to say... nothing more than unsubstantiated BS.

Just have Q check out Rolles knee... I'm sure he'll lay his hand on AR's knee (Pope Benedict style) and all will be healed! Can't believe its taken Graves and Denny this long to do it....

What I know about knee surgery?

1) I had an ACL (left knee) replacement.
2) I've watched the Cards for umpteen years and have seen too many players with knee problems and what happens.

The facts
a- we know his knee was a problem last season
b- he missed games because of the same knee problems
c- it was a problem then and it is a problem today
d- rocket scientist not needed to state- it hurt from then till now
e- no exploritory surgery has been done since the end of the season
f- training camp is coming up
g- if he has to have surgery - recovery can be from 2-3 weeks to a full year.
h- if it's a mild repair - and he had the surgery in JANUARY he'd be fully healed and be running today...he wouldn't have missed any OTA's.
-if it's major and needs 4-6 months to repair, he'll now miss up and through October. If he had the surgery in January - he'd be ready, at worst in June or July - still going to camp.

my problem is time is ticking and the problem is there every day. Why the f' haven't they acted by now. Every day is a day closer to the season (yea for us).

We (who knows if the team is) expecting him to be the #1 CB, currently there is no way he can cover even the 3rd WR with his current knee problems.

Yes, it's an opinion, but there is some factual information that doesn't take a giant leap to comprehend.

no anamosity to you...hope that answers the ?

None taken, and well put.

But, I've also had knee issues in a sports context, and I can tell you that you sometimes have unforeseen setbacks.

We have no idea as to Rolle's rehab - as of say - December, which could have led to additional surgery in January. He may well have been experiencing no pain or discomfort until putting it to a more serious test recently. This may simply mean a scope procedure and a few weeks delay.

My issue, earlier, was your conclusion that he was either out for the year, or severely curtailed in his abilities, simply based on the info currently available.
