Maybe this should be in PR...

My take: Shut up Rendell. This has nothing to do with the players and everthing to do with safety of fans IMO and also $$$. Good luck getting fans to fill a stadium with a 8-10 inches falling of snow and a windchill factor of sub zero.

If you truly believe that game was postponed for public safety issues I can come up with some swamp land in FL. I can sell ya. For a great deal too!

The NFL should meet my MIL. She grew up in Philly and could back Goodell up against the wall to yell, "We went outside to use the john in 30" of snow!!"

Well, actually she'd say "To use the *** crapper!", but I'm trying to obey the no swearing injunction.

I dont need the govt, the NFL or anyone else telling me what is in my best interest. The game should be played and if I choose to risk going that is my decision. My safety is my own problem, not the state, the team or the federal govt's concern.

Yeah until someone gets injured in the stadium and sues the Eagles, the NFL, the city of Philadelphia etc.

It's all about liability.

God bless arizona, if you like being told what to do move to Cali. You cant even flip the tab on a gas pump and sit in your cab while its pumping there anymore.

.

You can't? I just did it about 15 minutes ago put in 18.7 gallons. I didn't sit in the vehicle but far as I know I could have if I wanted to.

There was a thing a few months back where some stations had leak problems with those pumps so they were required to remove the clip part that allows you to not have to hold the grip. That was all done in a few weeks, and the funny thing was my local paper had several stories of the pumps without that clip spewing gas all over.

I think they recommend you don't sit in the car during it because of incidental reports of static electric sparks when opening or closing a door that could start a fire.

Its even worse than the Chinese we have no collective pride anymore, Its covered up with liability.

But We'll have mandated healthcare soon enough, so why worry about liability! someone else will pick the tab for our mistakes.

Yea I would drink a quart of chicken livers, again, to watch that game live in a measly 8-10 inches, Go to pinetop we make out in 4 feet!

You don't think that it is the governments job to protect the public? Scary.
you do?!?!
thats even scarier.....ok this is about to go to p and r alright

dude, you live in arizona, i used to live there where open carry was legal, oh how great that was.
you realize you live in a country where you can get a pizza delivered to your home faster than you can get a cop don't you?

i have never ever in my LIFE called the police for anything i don't believe its the governments job to protect me, it goes against all that i and i would dare say the founding fathers believed in,
anything else is nanny state mentality
call it what you want but personal responsibility begins and ends with ones right and duty to protect themselves,

whether thats choosing to walk to the stadium or choosing to shoot the sumbitch trying to hurt me or my family makes no difference

Wow, way to just gloss right over the fact the game was delayed due to public transportation being shut down and 75% of the 3,000 stadium workers would have been stranded there. But who am I to bring logic into a chest beating contest?

Yeah, I do. If the highways or roads are dangerous I expect the government to monitor them or close them. If mobs are rioting and looting, I expect the government to try and put it to a halt. If criminals are coming across the border I expect the government to stop them. If a drunk is driving down the road weaving all over the place I expect the government (you do understand that cops are government employees don't you?) to stop him.

I am a gun owner and am prepared to use it if someone tries to come into my house with guns but I sure as hell will be telling my wife to call 911, because I expect the government to help protect me if I am out manned. Sorry that I'm not as manly as you but I dare to say that you probably haven't been the victim of a home invasion by a gang in Phoenix. If you think that it's my 80 year-old in-laws responsibility to have to stop that without any hope of the government trying to step in and stop an invasion and/or robbery then I think that you are a nut job.

Hey Shane, we don't need cops any more!

Vikings seem to have a pretty good game plan for Webb to have a shot at succeeding...short and intermediate slants etc.

sure seems like Peterson fumbles way too much....we could combine Cards pick of Levi and Peterson and have an out of position Olineman who fumbles alot:D

Man McCoy is a really good runner but he is TERRIBLE in pass blocking. He's gotten Vick hit at least 4 times tonight and they missed a blatant hold on him on that drive.

This is killing me, I've got Maclin and Akers, my opponent has McCoy, after the last extra point I lead 103.4 to 102.1, at one point he led by .1, talk about down to the wire.

I was there a few weeks ago and the two gas stations I hit didnt have it, I figured it was another asinine rule Cali put in.

Currently trying to pass emmissions on my GF's 2001 camry that has bitch ass cali emission standards, I dont see why I need to match their emissions in Arizona.

Love cali for a visit, hate Cali politics and nanny rules.

I had a home invasion in June of 2009, 3 black dudes with silenced assault rifles, pretty scary.

Now I sleep with a shotgun and full fledged alarm system.

Local police I am fine with, FBI and DEA and other federal police, not so much.

Oh and by the way, the police didnt put much effort into finding the robbers and spent 30 minutes at my house trying to accuse me of being a drug dealer because my house was robbed.

Agreed on all the rules. Maybe those stations are lagging behind it's been in my local paper because people were complaining the ones without clips were spilling gas on their clothes etc.

Yep seems odd you would have to meet California standards in Arizona.

i am not trying to beat my chest or act more manly, i miss living there solely for the reason that the have very few gun regulations, living in california is a gunowners nightmare,
but of all the things you listed the only thing the government is responsible for is protecting the borders, and they do a woeful job of it too,
like thry do in most things they get their hands into
anyway thats all i'm going to say about this there are plenty of political websites for this sort of thing, i just couldn't help myself but to comment on what sounded to me like everything i am diametrically opposed to

Ah who cares - this is just one step closer to having a football game on every day of the week!

I kinda like it; but my booze and cigar budget is getting out of hand....

Federal regs state that when a car is emission tested it must meet all of the regulations for the equipment that was on it when purchased new....which is why you have to meet Cali standards in AZ....should have just sold the car, lol.

I grew up in Cali, then spent 25 years in Az,....went back for a couple years to spend some time with family, and was surprised to learn that is completely illegal in California to be a heterosexual white male.....so I moved to the south.
