LONDON, March 15 (Reuters) - The United States have moved into the top five for the first time since FIFA's world rankings began in 1993 after publication of the March list on Wednesday.

Brazil remain the clear leaders, with the Czech Republic and the Netherlands unmoved in positions two and three respectively, one point apart.


Argentina are fourth and the U.S. fifth, up from their shared sixth place in February.

France drop from fifth to eighth after their surprise 2-1 defeat by Slovakia on home soil on March 1.

The March rankings cover 82 matches comprising 21 qualifiers for the Asian Cup 2007 and 61 friendlies.

I think our recent loss should change the rankings even though it was only a 'Friendly'
