Lets go cats, Budinger, Bayless, and Hill all need to be hot tonight. They have a much more athletic team, but I think we have the better shooters.

WTF???? You have got to be kidding me:mad:

Nope. The Cats could possibly lose 4 of their next five games. I see them beating Oregon State but losing at Memphis, home against Oregon, at ASU and at Houston. Perry transferring really hurts now. Wise and Dillon will have to step it up. Breilmier is also out for tonight's game.

That just took the luster off a game i have been waiting all week for.

Guess its time for Jordan Hill to prove how far he has come.

Cats are playing much better than I thought under the circumstances. If they weren't missing two starters, I think they could of beaten Memphis. By the way, the refs suck. No way was that an intentional foul by Walters.

After that, I'm a bit more optimistic about life without Bayless. Obviously he'll need to come back healthy pretty quick if we're going to make some noise. But with Budinger and Hill the 'Cats have enough of an inside-outside combo to get through the next few weeks. I see them going 2-2 at worst likely 3-1 over the next four. This one wasn't going to happen when you play 4 on 5 for much of the game. And the reason for playing 4 on 5 was...

...Kirk Walters, who is probably the worst player in the Pac-10 and a liability every time he takes a step. The intention fouls were actually quite funny, you can tell the refs had never seen Kirk play before. He wasn't trying to foul those guys hard, but it's hard to foul correctly when you're the most uncoordinated putz in NCAA hoops.

And to delve further into Walters, if people want to examine the slipping of Arizona Basketball over the last few years look no further than this graduating class of seniors. Kirk Walters, Mohamed Tangara, and Daniel Dillon are all borderline major conference players and provide the seniority of the team. McLellan is mediocre at best. Horrible, horrible recruiting by the coaching staff.

Jawann was a Parade All-American. He was a key player his freshman year, helping the Cats to the Elite Eight. Injuries and the loss of his dad have slowed his progress. He has said he is not worrying about scoring, he is more of a defensive player rhis year. Too bad Chase can't learn to play any defense.

Walters and Tangara are a waste of scholarships. Unfortunately, Tangara has has another year. Luckily Walters doesn't.

I see the Cats going either 2-2 or 1-3. Without Bayless they will lose to ASU and Houston, both road games. The Oregon game is a toss up. The Ducks don't play well on the road. The key will be if Jordan Hill can stay out of foul trouble.

If we are as much of a better program as we think we are losing our best player and leading scorer STILL won't be enough for the Devils to beat us.

I expect Hill to destroy Pendergraph and this isn't the loosy goosy chuck the ball up team of the past couple years. We will match Sendeks intensity and in fact i think KO is a better in game coach then him. PLus we obviously have more talent.

Bayless is out, no way the Cats win this one. He has a sprained MCL. He could be out 2-4 weeks. This is not good.

Sounds very similar to what Collison has and his has of course lingered a lot longer. He's just now getting the brace off next game.

Hope for his sake that Bayless's is not going to be as long a problem, really like the kid.

The worst call of the night was they caught Calipari repeatedly saying "you gotta call the moving screen." UA inbounds, whistle, moving screen on Horne. Was it, probably, had you called one on either team until Calipari complained, no.

Refs make me laugh sometimes is it really that simple that a coach just has to ask for a call to get it?

The Cats need to hit from the outside to break the Devil zone. Bayless was one of their better shooters. If Hill gets in foul trouble, Pendergraph will have a field day against Walters. Recruiting Tangara and Walters, both projects, was a bad decision.
