OMG,

LSU just scored again,

UofA fans are now blaming the loss, on ASU because of the schedule. just brilliant.

So UA scheduled 1 tough out of conference game (against a team, point of schedule and location very similar to what ASU did last year.......)

for the most part the schedules are very similar

NAU (D1 AA 0-2 with losses to ASU & Utah), Nevada (0-2 with losses to Fresno & ASU), Colorado (0-2 and a mess)

Stephen F. Austin (D1 AA 0-2 with losses to Tulsa & Delta State), BYU (1-1 lost to UA, beat Tulsa), LSU (2-0 and a legit power)

So basically the entire schedule crosses itself out and UA is claiming vast superiority of schedule because they played at LSU while ASU plays at Colorado?!

i'm kind of impartial to all of this - but it's nuts for UA to think they have this bear of a schedule while ASU is plays no one - aside from 1 game it's pretty much the exact same deal

I stopped watching at halftime. Is UofA's QB still alive? He took some vicious hits. What a tough kid.

To date, according to CBS Sportsline, UA has played the toughest schedule in the nation. ASU's schedule is ranked #115. Tell me how playing a 0-2 Colorado team, that lost at home to a 1-AA opponent, is going to even out the two schedules?

These schedules are made 6-8 years in advance. At the time, Colorado's program was as highly thought of as LSU's.

Besides, ASU played LSU the past two seasons. It's not like either school is trying to pull a Kansas St. or Nebraska.

exactly - my whole point was UA has 1 considerably tougher game scheduled - that's all that's it

to claim vast schedule superiority because of it is ridiculous

i'm saying that UA does have a tougher schedule in opponents (although I think ASU has some tougher stretches) - but the difference isn't vast - it isn't like BYU is texas and Stephen F Austin is a D1

The Valley so low.
I expected to see more ASU posters spouting smack here after last night, but I guess they slept in late.

The U of A certainly has a tougher schedule than ASU, though ajcardfan is right that much of that was predetermined and Colorado's performance has been a shock so far. But there are three other things to remember. First, ASU played LSU (ranked #3 at the time) last year and nearly beat them--one completed pass would have done the trick, if my memory is right. Second, as the Republic said yesterday, the game could be seen as "a gauge of how much progress" UA has made under Stoops--and progress there was, with a 46 point margin reduced to 42, in an away vs. a home game. Third, as far as strength of schedule goes, UA has a big advantage over ASU--UA's last game is against a top-25 team, bowl winner last year, while ASU's last game...isn't.

Stop whining about the schedule, you have SFA next your lucky.

So pick up your body parts from the LSU football field and go home

Why so Nevada could have beat UA?
A misinformed opinion considering Arizona has already beaten a team that's better than Nevada. Had Arizona started the season with ASU's schedule they'd also be 2-0 although because they're not as good as ASU they would not have looked as impressive against the Wolfpack because their offense is way too inexperiened and limited talentwise. Let's not spin ASU's schedule thogh - thanks to LSU backing out and Colorado going into the normal post-Nueheisel hangover they have a very weak OOC schedule. It's not Koeter's fotre though, simply bad luck. Don't think it really matters, they're not a BCS team anyways that's where SOS only matters in football.

UA simply ran into a buzzsaw on Saturday, it was men against boys out there both physically and mentally. Mike Canales is also firmly on the hot seat considering it's Year 3 and his offense has shown little to no progression since the Mackovic era. Fact remains that I expected to be 2-1 going into Pac-10 and that's where they will be when USC comes to Tucson next Saturday.

Why did you expect more ASU posters? It was just the usual U of A football performance so I'm not sure why you'd expect a big response. No need to talk smack, we just sit back and laugh. But yeah, your "program" is really turning it around...... HA!

We weren't sleeping in, we're bored from nearly 10 years of talking the same trash. And yes, basketball season is starting soon. Get some new material

Ah yes, since laughing pictures is some really timeless stuff. Although it does have bright colors and looks funny so I can see why it would captivate Sun Devil fans.

Come on man, is that really all you've got? What a poor effort, I really thought you would come up with something better than that...Go Devils

I keep Hearing UA fans complain about ASU weak OOC Schedule, but what about LSU's OOC Louisiana Lafeyette and UofA. Thats pretty damn weak if you ask me

Is there anything more pathetic than a Sun Devil fan who goes out of his way to insult Wildcat fans? Especially when Cat fans don't even say anything about the Devils?

Friendly rivalry is great, but it seems to me your overcompensating for something...

I should've inserted a :sarcasm: icon in my earlier post. I'm a Sun Devil fan, trying to be realistic but rejoicing in the tribulations of the Tamekittens. Last weekend was one of unalloyed joy: Devils won, UA got cremated after disgracing themselves, Cards won, Felons lost, Raiders lost.... I just wanted company in chortling about UA. I thought that Republic article, clearly by a Catlover, was a riot--nothing could undermine claims that Stoopid has brought success like comparing 2003 UA-LSU to 2006, in points or sportsmanship.

What's funny is that even though it wouldn't have been as big a blowout, ASU would have been soundly beaten by LSU also.
