UCF football player dies after drills (AP)

A spokesman for the University of Central Florida says a football player has died after participating in offseason conditioning drills on campus. Ereck Plancher, a freshman wide receiver from Naples, Fla., was pronounced dead shortly before noon Tuesday at a hospital, says school spokesman Joe Hornstein.
