The Oklahoma City Thunder have clinched the first seed. Not surprising considering they've held a double-digit game lead in the standings for most of the season.
The Thunder start a four-game homestand when they host the Memphis Grizzlies on Thursday. They look to beat Memphis for the fourth time this season with the hopeful return of Jalen Williams from a hip strain.
Less than a month remains in the 2024-25 regular season. Even though the Thunder aren't involved, plenty of heated races for seeding have ramped up as the margin for error gets thinner. Thunder Wire will conduct daily updates on the West's standings until the season ends:
What happened last night?
Lakers 120, Pacers 119: The Lakers dramatically snapped a three-game losing streak. LeBron James scored a game-winner against Indiana in the final seconds off a tip-in bucket. He only had 13 points but those last two were the most important.
Clippers 126, Knicks 113: After an injury scare, James Harden missed zero time. He led the Clippers to a comfortable win over the Knicks with 29 points. Kawhi Leonard also had 27 points. LA will go as far as those two will carry it in the playoffs.
Nuggets 127, Bucks 117: After missing the last five games, Nikola Jokic returned for the Nuggets. He beat up on a short-handed Bucks without Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard. He tallied a 39-point triple-double.
Celtics 132, Suns 102: It was an onslaught on the Suns. The Celtics destroyed the hopeful playoff squad. Kevin Durant had 30 points but everybody else struggled to show up. That's been their problem for most of the season.
