Upton. And The Whole Roster Can Be Traded

Jim Bowden on ESPN insider listed 5 potential trades for Upton. The two best were Texas sends Jurickson Profar (SS) and Mike Olt (3B) which I don't think Texas will do but I would defintely take Profar. The other offer I thought was interesting was Jason Heyward. Slightly better contract and longer control and seems like a good guy too.

I would take either Texas deal involving Olt. In a heartbeat.

Good news, Upton will not be traded. Looks like Drew could be and I think that would be smart if they can get something for him. No way the Diamondbacks are going to sign him this offseason.

If we trade Drew for even mid-level prospects, I'd be ecstatic. Bloomquist and J-Mac have proven they can handle the SS position just as well as Drew could at this point. As a matter of fact, Drew is hardly noticeable in the lineup anymore.

Like you said, Drew isn't re-signing with us so might as well cash in and see what we could salvage.
