I’m just stoked to have Kansas as a legit hoops rivalry as opposed to just competing for recruits

The media rights not being extended under ESPN alone is enough.

College football has gone rogue with NIL and expansion. I'm not sure the NCAA should or will survive unless it can find a way to remain relevant.

Looks to be a smart move from the Big 12 to target the 4 corner schools. It will gut the Pac 12 and force Oregon and Washington to make a decision while the BIG 10 has reportedly brushed them off. With no other options but a hollowed out Pac 12 or the Mountain West, Oregon and Washington may have no choice but to make the jump to the Big 12 and have to make a commitment that locks them in.

Right now ASU would be a bottom tier team in the big 12
They need to bring in a coach who can recruit Texas but also still pull players out of CA.

I know Pac 12 fans like to dump on the Big 12 and flyover country but their fans are passionate and engaged. I think that type of atmosphere will be good for ASU vs the current stuffy and laissez-faire attitude of most of the Pac 12.

It appears Oregon and Washington are not content to wait for the BIG 10.

I feel bad for OSU and WSU. I imagine they might be relegated to the Mountain West. Cal and Stanford are in a precarious place as well.

Not quite what I suggested, but they are probably locked into the teams they are already already adding.

Stanford and Cal should try for Ivy (which means fading into obscurity for sports but at least aligned with the top academic institutions). WSU and OSU headed for obscurity.

The message seems to be, at least the Big-12 cares about football and the importance of it financially.

ASU President Michael Crow's view of the PAC-12 three years ago.

ASU remains fully committed to PAC-12 per Athletic Director.

Fully committed until they're not. UW, UO, and the Bay Area schools would leave in a heartbeat if they get a BIG 10 invite.

It looks like the only thing that will affect the leadership at ASU is the loss of football related revenue and that should be coming soon enough.

The NCAA is almost as irrelevant as the PAC 12. Remind me what happened to Baylor and Arizona with their recent program scandals?

The combination of a late start by ASU in regard to NIL and possible sanctions by the NCAA has taken a bite out recruiting.

Either that’s bullsheet, or Michael Crow is that dumb. Nonetheless, other schools are operating under the belief that the conference is sinking and trying to save themselves

Arizona self-imposed a postseason ban and is likely to get a fine and lose some scholarships within the next couple of months. Additionally, Sean Miller has said that he anticipates being suspended a couple of games at Xavier

I don't have any confidence in the leadership at ASU at the top. It's really sad for the fans.
