Gotta admit I'm a bit surprised. I'd heard rumors he was going to do that and I just didn't believe it, figured he'd stay one more year. But apparently he's gotten enough positive feedback that he's decided to stay.
I guess I shouldn't be shocked, he's not a good student, if Mayo gets in, Pruitt won't play PG as much. Big blow to USC they better hope mayo qualifies and Angelo Johnson gets in for 07 because right now the starting PG is Daniel Hackett.
They've now lost their top 3 scorers from last year in Young, Lod Stewart and Pruitt. And they've lost their top 3 perimeter players. Mayo is really good and I think Hackett really came on strong 2nd half, but they lost 43 PPG from those 3 kids and they return only one player who averaged more than 6 PPG(Taj Gibson).
They really need Mayo and Johnson to qualify, rumors are that Davon Jefferson is pretty much qualified(stunning as that sounds). That is the problem the way Floyd runs a program between all the transfers and the academic problems all it takes is 1-2 guys to leave unexpectedly and suddenly you're very short handed.
