Unreal. Just can't catch a break this season.

Rather ironic statement. :)

I hope JV wants to play next year but I'm not counting on it. He is a class act and one tough dude.

I know many fans want to draft a CB and WR early this year but I want to draft Oline and Dline and Oline and Dline etc. Re-sign Tramon Williams because he is more than adequate as our #2 CB. Get a FA WR or two and some Oline and Dline if FA as well.

Draft or FA our biggest needs IMO in not particular order are QB, WR, MLB, DL, OL.

This is assuming we keep our safeties, tramon Williams, etc.

And I don't see MLB as big of a need as the others. QB, WR, & OL are major holes that need to be filled.

The game is won in the trenches. Yes we need a franchise QB so that would trump Oline and Dline but if Palmer returns and or Gabbert is given a chance to be a starter I want Oline and Dline drafted. Our Oline has some talent but that talent is oft injured and our Dline has a lot of solid players but no studs.

Well, I don't expect to bring back Dansby and Bucannon is just okay. I do like Bynes. Would you just go Bucannon/Bynes? and then their backup?

If we can clone Josh Bynes we are good, until then who would be the 2nd ILBer ?

Bucannon is no certainty to come back, Dansby may retire, and who knows what Reddick is going to play/do going forward.

Yet, I do agree, QB, and WR are bigger needs.

.......concerning the OL, there are teams out there that get by with a sub-average offensive line. I am not ready to say you can short change the position, but I am getting there.

I thought we were going to try and stick Reddick there? I still think that's the regime's game plan.

I still think we are going to continue the Reddick experiment. Hell, they may move him back in the next couple of games to MLB once we have been eliminated officially to get him more reps. If he doesn't work out at MLB, I'm not sure where else he can play? He's way too small to play on the line.

I'd rather not try to get by with an average OL. We have a stud RB in the backfield who would look amazing with some great blockers.

Nature of the beast is that you play your guts out helping your team at a somewhat invisible position - and then you get sidelined and/or wind up on IR. It sucks!

A couple of strategic things come to mind: (1) Does BA shift to a more run-based offense? (2) If so, could AP be good to go?

And one more thing: In normal circumstances, we match up well vs. Wash and the Giants; which leaves us to battle with a banged up Seahawk ream in our final game. If we run the table, we wind up 9 & 7. Is there...could there...would there...etc?
