Red Bull’s Max Verstappen took his ninth win of the season in a chaotic Qatar Grand Prix featuring three safety cars, two punctures – both of them potentially the result of debris caused by a stray wing mirror which was, inexplicably, left out on track following an earlier collision – and a mass of penalties meted out by the stewards.
