Hahaha funny timing on this. PoolBoy(aka SUlax44) and I were at the zoo with our niece and there is one exhibit that has a bunch of different animals grazing all day.

My comment to him was, "I'd go to the zoo more than once every 10 years if they turned this exhibit into a yearly battle royal. Couple bears, couple lions, couple cheetahs, couple rhynos, a few orangutans, couple elephants and toss in a few deathrow inmates with stoneage weapons."

I think this would crush the SuperBowl in terms of world viewership.

Could Call it Battle for Noah's Arch!

Fortunately, we've progressed since the days of the Roman Empire.

Anyways, if you'd really care about some sex offenders and murderers thrown in a gladiator pit with wild animals. I would argue there is something wrong with you.

Once found guilty by the judicial process, just incarcerate them or execute them, no sense going to the trouble of training animals to kill them.

Would you really have to train a wild lion to kill?

We need one of them. Get it done.

This hometown Max Hall thing is cute and all, but the Seahawks are for real now with Marshawn.

I think Vick would be interesting as a playmaker, his #7 is readily available.

Do it before we watch the division slip away.

Unless he is seriously injured why would he be available. Two QBs these days is a real luxury especially when most teams barely have one who can really play.

The NFC East and playoff revenue is there for the taking. Both of Philly's QBs have been injured, and Kolb was concussed, which is an additional element of concern. Considering that Vick's value is impacted by the fact that any trade partner will have to negotiate a new contract if they want him next year, I don't see why Philly lets him go this year--unless someone really does overpay.

Correct, he's essentially untradeable unless say someone like Dan Snyder decided to play Steinbrenner and trade for him.

You have to sign him to a new deal, if you do so right now he's at the peak he's been at for several years so you're going to overpay. There's the labor agreement issue, AND you have to try and make a deal that has insurance in it in case he screws up again.

And you have to really think he's your future (in our case, Whiz...does he?). And you have to take into account that there are a lot of fans who will never buy his jersey even if they cheer for the team. Someone will sign him at year's end, and it's a smart move for the Eagles to have him now.

I would gladly take either of them but you can be sure neither is available. This year is basically shot as we have no QB. I put that on management which is who? The GM, Ownership, Coach or just who made the decision to go with these QB's. I think most of us knew from day one we were in trouble in the QB position. Why not Management?

The past is the past...Vick did his time. The Eagles are definately not going to let Kolb go if he keeps up his play since he's the reason why McNabb was traded. Vick has improved tremendously as a passer and I'd definately would not mind seeing him here in AZ.

If you discounted all the NFL players who had some bad history you would probably discount half of them. That dude who ate us up today at receiver named Williams is a good example. He may be a dirt bag but he sure can play football.

I'm cheering for Vick to keep it up so the Eagles sign him to a new deal and that makes Kolb available. It just increases the odds of us getting a good QB next year if more guys are available.

Why would anyone think Vick would be available. He is playing the best football of his life and perhaps the best QB in the NFL the past couple of games. Even if he were available our team would never pay what he will receive. He want be available unless his current team is nuts or broke.

One can only wonder how many NFL players have off field issues. These guys are not like the rest of us in most cases. Many like to carry weapons, fight, drive fast cars and fast women. I doubt you could put a good team on the field without at least one of the players having some issues off the field. Look at Wilts (NBA) book. He said he has sex with over a thousand women. Wonder how many children he fathered? Even Koby admits to issues and makes the news. Give a young not so smart guy millions of dollars and he is going to find trouble.

the cards will do nothing at quarterback. the way whiz is gushing over hall i think he thinks that hall will be warner 2.0 i wish we didn't go into the season with a rookie at quarterback but hey, i'm just the monday morning coach. i pray it works though.

Lord help us if we go into next season thinking Hall will ever play a part in our future. How dumb can one team be?

Meh, This country allows second chances. Vick paid his debt to society. Before anyone wishes harm to a human, you want to consider how your beef and poultry are slaughtered. How your beef and poultry are born and bred. How it's fed hormones and how much space it has to live it's short life. If you're a carnivore, you are just as much to blame for that. In one form or another, we are all culprits in some form of animal cruelty.

Joe L you are correct. I abhor animal cruelty but at he same time eat cows, chickens, ducks, etc. I am basically two faced when I come down on hunters or growers of animals we eat. Nearly all humans are carnivores just as much as a lion. We may think we are more humane but in fact we are not. Humans are the only animal that routinely kill their own in mass numbers and torture their own. We all like to think we are nothing like Vick but we are more like him than we know. I certainly would have come out with guns blazing had I come upon Vick and his buddies treating dogs the way they did. He would never be an associate of mine. He would not be on my football team but at the same time I know my species is nothing to be very proud of.

I would look for them to sign him before the end of the season if he keeps this up (well, depending on the lockout situation as well).
