Great Stuff

Paul, in talking Smack with the 'hawks' fans, asked if they ever get sun in Seattle? Well I've only been there once, last August, and I was surprised to learn that the weather was great in the summer, 80's and low humidity. The rainy season starts in late September, early October. They do get sun but rarely get snow. But the image is rain, year round.

Considering I spent my entire summer commuting to Seattle for a project I had there, the summer is beautiful. It was 70s and 80s and sunny all summer with no humidity and a couple of heat waves where it got in the 90s. Of course, all the Seattle people said wait until the fall when it starts raining.

I just moved back to AZ from Seattle. It doesn't rain as much as people think. Its overcast and light drizzle alot. Sunny all summer long though. And yes very rarely snows.

I've been fortunate to have been on a few sidelines in my time and it's an entirely different experience than watching from the stands or the press box. The players seem so much bigger and faster. The power of the hits is unreal. The intensity on most teams is explosive. If you ever get the chance, even at college level, do it.

Bigger and faster. I can relate to that. Recently, I was left to wait standing by the side of the NE Thruway for AAA (flat tire). I couldn't believe how fast cars were whizzing by. Seemed to be moving MUCH faster then when you're in a car and driving.

Washingonians will tell you they like it this way - the false info about the weather is designed to mislead Californians who otherwise might want to head north and pave the entire state.
