We just dropped an early first on Floyd. We have bigger issues on offense, WR is the only position on offense we don't absolutely suck balls at. Way too much pay, and the dude aint some lock either, besides, the contamination could out weigh his "domination." We aint starvin at RW, the teams that are will be in the hunt, we couldn't even get the ball to our dang receivers once Kolb was out.

It's like the bar my wife and I are creating here at the house. I'm trying to get all the bigboys, the main staples a bar needs to please the majority of a crowd. And I got Patron, Quervo, and some homemade blue agave stuff my homie made. So as far as tequila goes, no necesito más.

Our WR core is solid!!!! The only FA I want to see is a LT. Pick up Warmack in the first round. Instant o-line upgrade.

I don't think anybody can seriously be comparing Roberts to Harvin.

If you can get Harvin for a measly 2nd round pick, do it. The guy is arguably the #1 playmaker in the NFL when healthy. Minny way overused him last year and you could tell he was going to get banged up. He wouldn't have to carry the load with Fitz around.

Way too many other needs to waste a pick on Harvin. Didn't this past year teach anything. Fitz couldn't get the ball because our QB was either on his back or running for his life and we should add another WR so he too can look back at the line of scrimmage to see our QB going down under a pile of Dlinemen.

Come on people, the Oline and QB positions need to be fixed first. We could have Megatron and Fitz at WR and they will not have an impact if we can't pass block and throw good accurate passes.

One thought would be trade Fitz to Minn for Harvin + their 1st and 2nd

Would save a ton in cap space next year and we still get a #1 wr

so you're saying you'd rather keep the pick and take a guy like, fro example, Larry Warford, than Percy Harvin?

I don't know if that's look as ridiculous in print as it sounds in my head, but I hope so.

I think there is a monetary consideration as well which would make it impossible for the Cardinals to sign Harvin long term. I don't think we can swing it for another top WR salary. Harvin will want 8mil+ for at least 4 years.

How many years left on his original deal?

There is always ways to make a contract fit, cap-wise. Besides if it's next year, Colledge, Kolb, Snyder,Wells, Wilson, Rhodes, and others(DD) should/would create plenty of cap room to get a deal done.

I would trade a 2nd rounder this afternoon if I could get Harvin and worry about his contract when it's up.

I think the issue for Harvin is the contract. 2013 is his contract year, and he is owed 2.9 in salary. I can't see Harvin getting traded to a team and then playing for them under his current deal. We would need to clear up 7-9 mil in 2013, IMO, to keep Harvin. Now, 2mil could be saved by cutting Doucet, but that still puts us at 5-7mil to just sign him and then we still lack a QB to get him the ball.

In Madden, I make this deal in a heartbeat. If we had more cap space, I really look at this deal. He is a very good player, but right now, I'm not sure the Cards could make this work. Just my opinion.

Percy Harvin is a beast. Exceptional talent. Almost freakish talent. But he's not worth it, at least not for us.

We don't have a piece of the pie for him. He wants big money. (I doubt he signs for less than 10 mill per, probably looking for quite a bit more) We don't have big money to give him or anywhere near it. In an era of a flat cap, we can't have 30-35 million a year tied up in our WR's.

We would have to give up a good pick or picks to get him for a one year rental.

The migraines happen every year and while he fights through them sometimes, it can diminish him, and he does miss games as well.

Plus the attitude.

Simply not a fit here. A fit on one of my fantasy teams every year he's been in the NFL, but not on the Cardinals in the real NFL.

It's not a matter of comparing Roberts and Harvin equal-up.

Each has a different cost and cap hit.

PP21, Roberts and LSH (if we keep him) can in combo deliver a similar degree of big-play capability.

Harvin is higher maintenance.

All things considered, we have other more pressing needs to address.

What I'm saying is we could have the 3 best WRs in the NFL and it won't make that much of a difference until the Oline and QB positions are fixed. If we can't pass block and we don't have a QB that can get the ball to them the quality of the WRs becomes pretty irrelevant.

For me being a soccer coach for over 20 years if I don't have a good goalkeeper I can have the best defenders in soccer and I won't win a lot of games because I don't have a keeper that can make some saves. I have been there. Great defenders and a bad keeper who would sometimes let the easiest of shots go right through their hands and into the goal. The defenders did everything right yet the keeper couldn't make a routine save.

If we don't have a line that can pass block and give the QB some time and a QB that can make throws that are catchable on a consistent basis, then it doesn't matter how good the WRs are because they won't get enough catchable balls thrown their way.

Honestly, if I am going to trade for a disgruntled player this offseason, I would trade for Darrelle Revis. Should be similar compensation (financially) and both should require a 2nd rounder.

Just my opinion.
