ESPN's Chris Mortensen has reported that Vince Young, No. 3 overall pick by Tennessee, will work out for Cardinals coaches on Tuesday

omg. Signing him would really stir up a bunch of clubhouse problems imo.

Tells me that after watching Kolb during the week they don't see any kind of progress to think he will be back this season.

Lindley needs to take what ever limited snaps he would get as the backup and a scout team QB is needed. If Young gets to anywhere higher then scout team QB we will have issues.

I wonder if they will also consider bringing Rich Bartel back as he knows the system.

I think VY makes sense only in so far as he (in the past anyways) had the ability to freelance his way out of vicious pass rushes. And we know theres going to be plenty of that in AZ the rest of this season.

That being said, Ive never like VY as an NFL QB, and think hes a total headcase. But if they sign him, hes got my support. I dont expect he'll bring much of anything to the table, however. Id rather see Lindley getting the reps.

With our QB situation and how things are going this year, I don't have any problems with this.

Damn skippy, run Forrest run...I mean Vince. Line sucks, Vince 'Crazy' Young is the solution. See how many yards Kolb got when scrambling, well just wait and see how many Vince could get and unlike Tebow, Vince is a better passer in my opinion by a long shot. This does not mean a great passer but better than most limited scrambling QBs. Yes, he is nuts but you have to be crazy to play behind this OL :D

I'm told #azcardinals have no plan to work out Vince Young. Has not been discussed.

I agree and the Cardinals need another mobile QB like Vince Young that can avoid the pass rush.

I don't know much about Vince Young's character but I remember when the Suns brought in Tim Thomas several years ago, he had a reputation of sorts, but played quite well for the Suns. Maybe the same can happen here.

Considering Vince Young is a sign of desperation on par with considering nominating Michele Bachmann.

Our only other healthy QB is Ryan Lindley, why wouldn't we want to bring in another QB? Can't roll with a 6th round rookie if Skelton ever misses time.

Id like to see him signed this week and be given a chance to compete with Skelton during the bye week for the starting QB job. Its super clear to me that Skelton isn't a starting QB in the NFL so bring in a vet to challenge him.

Why not give him a look if only for depth. I don't see Kolb returning, however if he does, I fear for his health. If for not ruining Lindley for the future, I wouldn't mind seeing him getting some playing time.

It only makes sense to sign a QB. No one can be any worse than Skelton. His accuracy is terrible. As I recall Young does have some mobility which with our OL is a very big plus.
