In this first season without Warner, we will truly see what Whisenhunt has.
Not looking good so far.

actually he helped masked our pourous D. Warner kept their sorry asses off the field for a big portion of the game.
We have skimped on coordinators for years, so this isn't new. Kansas City is an example of what quality coordinators can bring to a team. Look for AZ to make a move this off season and bring in a NAME.
better hope Wade Phillips gets the axe because I can't think of another big time teacher of the 3-4.
Also Green couldn't get Warner to play well either. I give credit to Wiz and his system to turning Warner around and for succeeding with DG's players but now Warner and DG's players are gone for the most part. It's going to be interesting to see what Wiz can do with his system and his guys.

I wonder if it was a combination of Warner and Haley?
God I miss Haley.
This is the POST of THE DAY! KUDOS CT!
The thing is...Whiz allowed KW to make the pre-game prep and in-game adjustments...as simple as, "Hey, Breastie, they are double teaming Fitz, so next play I will hit you on your break on the intermediate post."
The bane of Whiz's decision making as a HC is how awful he's been at both not adjusting to the deficiencies of his o-line, as in chipping a DE who's killing the team (just like today...no adjustments...ever)...and most especially in having or showing no clue as to how to put in place a DC and a defensive system that is even remotely comeptent.
Plus, sadly, what we are seeing now is that Whiz and his staff don't have the gravitas to motivate the players. I said it previously and today is further confirmation, the players have very little respect for the coaches. There's very little accountability...and a player-friendly atmosphere that obviously does not promote player leadership.
I am just going to make this my post of the week...Game 4 Impressions: Chargers 41 Cardinals 10.
We all saw this debacle...we saw what we saw...let's just all chime in on CT's post about WHAT NEEDS TO HAPPEN FROM HERE:
1. Anderson needs to be released. He's done here. He blew it. If he is starting next week Whiz has lost this team forever.
2. A move to add a veteran QB needs to happen, asap. With the bye week coming up he can be assimilated into the offense and be a good fallback option if Max Hall falters.
3. Max Hall needs to start for now...and hopefully for a long time to come...but give him audible options for a hot route of simple check to a sweep when the opponents are threating the A gaps. Play to Max's strengths...which Whiz obviously doesn't know yet, because his play calling for Max was pitifully awful.
4. Brandon Keith needs to replaced by Jeremy Bridges and the team needs to chip help for LT Levi Brown. And it may be time to try Hadnot at LG or C. I am not averse to throwing him in there, even in the middle of games to see.
5. The team needs to release NT Bryan Robinson and realize that Watson and Williams are better players.
6. The team needs to replace Bill Davis with Donnie Henderson as DC. Henderson will dial up the pressure, which means turning AW into a blitz monster and covering TEs with more capable DBs.
7. The team needs to relegate Joey Porter into situational edge rusher, a la Bertrand Berry. Porter is a liablility otherwise.
8. The team needs to MOVE Dockett around to confuse the offense.
9. The team needs to get far more creative in what they do and how they prepare.
10. The team needs to start playing for broke...and go all out...leave it all on the field...pass when everyone thinks it's a run...and run whenever everyone thinks it's a pass...and on defense..dial up relentless pressure with everyone taking a part.
That's about all I have. Please pick me up in areas I have forgotten or overlooked. Kudos for CT for nailing this one.
I like the rookies...and I think that with patience they will impress.
But, I am very worried about the coaching. The players mailed in another one...and it's getting epidemic. The coaches are responsible and they have flat-out shat the bed this year thus far.
There is no way you can go back to starting DA after today IMO. The change has been made for good or bad and hopefully Hall does well. With a rookie QB in, I would almost certainly expect to see more running. If you start Max Hall against a Greg Williams defense you better have a run based game plan to eliminate the 3rd and long because he will eat Hall for breakfast otherwise. I think that I still start DA unless I am committed to running the ball 40 times in the game.
Warner helped hide how terribel our coaching staff is. In this first season without Warner, we will truly see what Whisenhunt has.

Worst red zone offense in history.
Yeah now we cant sniff the red zone.
Btw Duck, boy didn't the refs suck in the TX-OU game yesterday...they had to have been Okies. I really thought I was watching a Redbird officiated game
