He will get in, absolutely. He shouldn't get in first ballot though. Those are for the special, once in a generation talents. He wasn't that.

Using that logic then no one gets in on the first ballot which is a stupid concept. You're either a hall of famer or you're not. Getting in on the first, 3rd, or 12th ballot shouldn't mean a thing. That said, based on the list given by the NFL.com link above, I see these players as having the best shot:

Kurt Warner
Mark Bavaro
Marvin Harrison
Roger Craig
Joe Jacoby
Orlando Pace
Junior Seau
Eric Allen(should have been inducted already)
John Lynch
Tim McDonald
Morton Andersen

There are some who are borderline IMO but this group has the best shot this time around. The WR group is the only ones who are tough to pick.

Are his stats going to get better after a year? We aren't talking about hack baseball writers here. Just let him in.
