Im really starting to question Kurts QB evaluation skills.. He has said every QB that has been linked to the Cards wont work besides Marc Bulger.. Marc Bulger, the guy who doesnt wanna play as a starter and just collect backup checks.. Thats the guy he thought was a great fit..

Given what we've seen, he's been right. I have doubts if Bulger could've succeeded but you never know, everyone wrote Kurt Warner off too.

Warner translation, "I sure hope Manning does not come to the Cardinals and break all my franchise records with them" :)

Yeah well, I'd personally like to see Manning throw 6 TD passes against the Packers in a playoff game.

sorry steve thought I posted the link with the post.

NFL.com gamecenter,
I remember PM slobbering all over the colts defense and run game, in the post game interview, taking credit away from himself.

Something I have never seen Kurt Warner do,

yea THT had 9 rushes as a starter and Wright had 1 rush. You see if you look at the actual -play by plays of most our games we lost multiple score first 1/2 leads in- I would say half of games, We ran in streaks! I mean there was streaks we would throw 5 or more passes to every run - and that was the Cardinal normal. (not the Normale Cardinals)

If somebody wants to punk somebody, they better stick with me- Cause Levi Brown is way out of their league. He protected us to to the Super Bowl against all odds, He is like a tackle God or something if you look at what the playcaller did to him at tackle. You'll never see it again! Show pass and execute pass with that much success against NFL defenses.

Man you can't win consistant without a run game, kills your defense and your ST , dismembers you QB and Oline. We were not only last in attempts but last in Rushing yardage. Of Course Edge and Beanie was the engines in our actual PLAYOFF WINS- not losses. Just like we starte Edge in most our ACTUAL WINS in the 2008 serason. We collapsed with THT, with the Rams exception.

I'll shut up eventually, but with this is the 10 rush cards loss against indy at AZ.

just sayin we had 15 rushes in this Jets game!
(JETS 08 game)
Key stat
Kurt Warner put up some impressive passing statistics, but had six turnovers. He fumbled the ball four times, losing three, and also tossed three interceptions.

Source?

dead horsey

Not until somedy admits that 50 + passes to 7-10-11-14 rushes in a game is not all Levi Browns fault!

7 Cardinal rushes against the Vikings in that 2008 and folks want to blame Levi Brown for por protection! never heard a such a thing as 7 total rushes in an NFL Game- even Canadian!

From another Manning thread:

As long as there are reporters with access to Namath's phone number, you will have access to Namath's thoughts on the team he led to a Super Bowl III title in 1969.

And this is exactly why the reporters care what Warner's thoughts are on the Cardinals. Because he led the Cards to a Super Bowl berth.

Sure beats people saying things like "Arizona Cardinals? Are they still in the league?"

Using this logic, people should ask Warner more about the Rams since he actually won his only SB (by one yard...) when he played there.

Screw Warner. Just my .02. Who elevated him to the spokesperson for all things Cardinals related?

My take on Kurt Warner is that he will try to do the right thing what ever it is and not bring any prejudice into what ever he says. He seems to be one of the most straight guys I have seen in football. As in football he is the same in life. A guy who I would like to hang out with and be a neighbor. He is surely my favorite Cards QB of all time. We will likely not see the likes of Kurt Warner on our team for another 100 years. Just glad he was here during my life time. How lucky did we get when we got him? It was luck and not great scouting or a smart GM that brought Kurt here. He happened to be old, cheap, and not wanted which fit the profile of a QB for us. Then he turned around and made everyone look like a genius.

If Kurt does not think Peyton would be a good fit or a good fit in AZ and he and Peyton are friends I suspect he would give him his honest thoughts. Peyton and Kurt were cut out of the same mold which a mold all QB's should be cut out of.

He did go to the Niners for a visit, before signing a 2 year contract and playing one year- Got the crap kicked out him by the BOUNTYFULL Saints.

Yea Peyton goes to the Niners he aint coming back, like Kurt.
I'm sure Edge has some nice things to say about playing for Whisenhunt? NOT!

Q recruited Edge, apolikgised to Edge for the way he was treated and then Q forced his way out of town as soon as possible.

Fitz is a lot of reason for PM to come to the desert, but not enough. He needs $20 million a year, and a new offense that is not designed to kill the QB!

I posted the last Indy/Card game we had 10 rushes to their 27- Stupidest football gameplan ever by the Cards, humiliating coaching efffort.

Having a healthy Peyton on our team would force opposing teams to totally redo there defense against us. He can change a call on a dime and recognize a defense by the time you blink. You would see a lot less double teams, a better running game, and fewer QB's hits than you think do to his quick release and a lot of no huddle offense. Even our receivers would look better do to a more accurate Peyton throwing the ball, Kolb and Skelton put receivers in big danger with their throws that are behind, high, low and any place else that will get you a big hit. If he is healthy he would be much like Kurt and probably be good for 2-3 years. He would greatly enhance our ability to once again reach the SuperBowl and also entice free agents to want to come to AZ. There are a lot of pluses to pay him big money. There are also a big gamble here. You are either going to be a hero or a goat if you sign Peyton. Is Graves/Bidwill gamblers. Mr. Bidwill is about as conservative as they come when it comes to money. Graves is Mr. Bidwills lackey. All this talk about Peyton and AZ may just be put out there by the Cards to keep fan interest up when in fact they have no interest in Manning. We will know for sure when it comes time to pay Kolb his big money. If we pay him then forget about Peyton. Peyton and his agent will surely keep as many teams interested as possible for obvious reasons. I suspect he has already narrowed down his list of possible teams considerable.

Last thought is that we are already selling out the stadium so Mr. B. would be not be raising revenue by much unless we went to the SuperBowl. He is driven more by profits than rings.
