Me too...best of luck Kurt, it has been fun. I have loved watching you play from the Barnstormers on... When you came to AZ to play for my Cards it just made me adore you more. You think you do but you cannot begin to understand what you have done for the fans of this team.

Our thanks to your family and your God for sharing you with us.

His legacy:

He took the CARDINALS to the freakin' Super Bowl!!!! He's a Hall of Famer for that achievement alone!

I know his legacy goes far beyond that, but he has been simply wonderful, especially the last couple of season, in a veritable wasteland of a franchise.

Way to go Kurt and thanks for the memories. I will miss seeing you play.

This is a tough day for Cardinal fans. We've had great memories with Kurt at the helm. I'm going to miss him big time. Many thanks Kurt!

Love his joke about Whiz wanting 3 tight ends, 2 backs, and running it every down. I guess we know which direction we'll be going. Of course, with our receiving corps out there, it's still pass-first in a lot of ways.

Im sad.

A little to omuch God for rme. Should the guy starving in Rhawanda thank god for the oppurtunity to starve? Athletes thanking god I think miss the big picture of life but oh well.

He still is a fine and decent human being regardless and will miss him as a cardinals.

I read Kurt and Brenda's book....

Just for the record Elijah wears his hear that way because Fitz, the little guy's favorite player, told him he looks good with it in a mohawk.

Sheesh....

Thanks for the memories Kurt. Having more TDs than incompletions at home will likely be the best passing performance I will see in my life.

Kurt Warner is a pargon of professional and personal integrity and grace.

Once he answered the question about his thoughts about "leaving a big void" in the Cardinals' organization, by wisely stating that he could physically fill that void but no longer felt able to fill it mentally and emotionally, there is no question that KW did the right thing.

After hearing this and the rest of his press conference, I am happy that he is at peace with his decision. Thus, I am starting to feel at peace with it myself.

God bless you and your family, KW. You were the most outstanding QB the Cardinals have ever had, and the only one to take us on an NFC Championship and Super Bowl ride...an improbable journey that we will never ever forget.

Thank you, #13, see you soon in the Cardinal Ring of Honor!

I was hoping to hear that he was going to take a position within the organization (any position--in charge of Cardinal charities whatever), it'd just be nice for him to stick around the facility.

Anyway I am super jealous, he's 38 and retiring and I am 37 and have to work until I am 55...LOL

Incredible, incredible man... His place within the history of Cardinal QB's is solidified. And he will one day have his place in Canton as well (are there any QB's who played in 3 Super Bowls who didn't make it to Canton?).

He took over a woeful team in St. Louis and brought them two Super Bowl appearances and one Championship. He took over an even more dreadful situation here in AZ, and brings them not only to the point of respectability, but within 2:37 seconds of a Super Bowl victory... Back to back NFC West titles and then, when the Super Bowl Champion Steelers don't even make it to the post season, Kurt leads his team to a remarkable playoff victory (some say the greatest post season game ever) by tossing 5 TD's to 4 Incompletions...

Yet, the one thing that stands above all else, is the man's class. Incredible.
I'm not afraid to say that I am now very scared for this franchise. Yes, Whiz appears to have the goods. But, there is a big part of me that feels that what took place over the past two seasons had more to do with Kurt Warner, his on the field QB abilities and his pure leadership skills where he demanded and pushed for greatness, than it did with Whiz...
We'll see... but I have a sick, sinking feeling in my belly right now. :(

I remember reading somewhere the other Kurt was an old man. As soon as he retired, he became a young man.......and I'm 52 and feeling REALLY old about now.......got a decade to go myself......
