They did. Three times in the last three minutes. Nothing happened. It's a crap shoot with Ayton. He can score 12 times straight and then forget how to do anything the next five times.
He let himself get pushed out to far.

They shouldn’t even throw him the ball when he’s 18 ft from the rim.

Ayton almost has double double at HT and he hardly saw the ball in 2nd

Oubre almost has a double double as well and he did that by grabbing boards that Ayton should have. It's not all on the coaching or play calling, like Stef said, Ayton was getting the ball but couldn't do anything with it in the last 3-4 minutes of the quarter.

Right. He doesn't know how to get a good post-up position. He can score if he doesn't have to fight for the position and if nobody else is near him. He is clueless if he has to get the position and if anyone else is near him.

It would help if the Suns had a good passer that could toss over the top.

That's on coaching and getting him that mindset

He got the ball and he wasn’t in position to score. That’s on him.

Exactly. And I am not giving Ayton crap- he is playing well. Very few 19 or 20 year-old rookie big men know how to do these things. He'll get there.

Oubre is my favorite player on the team. He always plays hard, is at least moderately competent, and doesn't make a ton of incredibly stupid mistakes. He's the only player on the entire roster who can make all three of those claims.

It doesn't help when his coach benches him whenever he is aggressive and successful on offense.

Yeah that's what happens when you take a guy out prematurely, when he's on fire, and then fail to get him the ball for 10 straight minutes. They go cold. Its called horrible coaching and player management.

No it is not. If you would put your irrational hate for Igor aside, you'd see that coaching has nothing to do with that. Igor is not telling him to not fight for the position and to be afraid of anyone within five feet of him. That's not Igor. That's a young kid who hasn't developed those skills yet.

Ayton seems to be too concerned that he could get an offensive foul when a smaller guy like Draymond is on him

Suns need to badly learn how to run plays that result in ayton finishing

We are taking some garbage jumpers, our perimeter players call their own number way too much

I said earlier that he should have stayed in the game, so I agree there, but this is not about him getting cold. It's about him not knowing how to do certain things, which is normal for someone his age.

EDIT: Also, we don't know about his conditioning. He is rookie, so it's quite possible that his conditioning is not where it needs to be. Perhaps he can only handle so many minutes without getting seriously winded.

Looks like Tyler Johnson fits that mold as well. We'll see how long he can keep that up but he's been good throughout the first half.
