He may not be the best player in the league anymore, but he’s still amongst the best 10, easy.

Even with his infuriating turnovers.

Which of these ten would you put him above?

Jokic
Antentekounmpo
Embiid
Doncic
James
Curry
Booker
Haliburton
Gilgeous-Alexander

That's nine, so if he's "easily" in the top 10, you should be able to come up with at least one. I think he has a case for being maybe 10th.

Frank Vogel on the Drew Eubanks injury. He reportedly rolled his ankle.

Maybe playing the subs is not the best way to ensure a win when the team starts to come undone.

Durant with 32 and on 14 shots and you are concerned about the turnovers?

I don't know how many points those turnovers led to, but I know it was a handful. So you can deduct those from his scoring.

He played 34 minutes and was a +5. That means the Suns were +3 in the 14 minutes he sat. They outscored the Warriors at a better rate when he was on the bench. I don't have the breakdown by halves, but I'll bet it was worse in the second half.

Durant was the worst Suns starter by +/- and he was a liability in crunch time, as we all saw.

There is no way they were better with him on the bench. They went like -10 when he was out in the 4th.

He was not the worst starter in +/-. That would be EG

Good job by Duane Rankin pushing Frank Vogel about the turnovers at the end.

Here is a link to the box score for those curious. I see Eric Gordon with a +4 and Kevin Durant with a +5.

I had the same thing but man this is nitpicking.

It's like finding a reason to see what you want to see

The ESPN box score does favor your position, but I agree, it's nitpicking.

Yes we still need lots of work, obviously. But we expected this to start the season.
Glad to have Book and KD getting time together. Happy as hell that Point Book is working as intended, he could end the season with CP3 or Nash type numbers in assists if all goes well. There's a lot to cringe about but that's a 5 game streak, there's some good stuff goin on too.
Jelling is good winning while doing it is cake.

Regardless, he was hyper efficient, the Suns leading scorer, their leading rebounder, their 2nd leading shot blocker, and a positive on +/-.

I dont get the complaints.

Durant, individually is a very efficient scorer.

I think he does nothing to make those around him better, he turns the ball over a ton (and in ways that seemingly always lead to opposition points) and he’s been putrid in the clutch.

I also think he actively avoids leadership and ownership… which is a problem when he’s the vested vet on a team with Booker and a dozen role players.

Scott Foster vs Chris Paul… SUNS WIN!

It's wild how true the memes are.

I cannot think of anything close to this... outside of pro wrestling.

Paul has won 65% of the games played in his career and he wins less than 5% of the time when Scott Foster is the ref and it's even worse in the playoffs.
