is it just me or does there seem to be a noticeable lack of camp chatter this year overall?

Well, I don't think that Shane has made his sojurn. He usually fires everyone up and sets the standard. Also, because camp's not in Flagstaff, I don't know if anyone takes time to drive to Glendale on a Wednesday afternoon.

Michael Bidwill I think chose attendance over intensity in moving camp to UofP.

Also, there are no two-a-days, and practices run from 2-4:30 pm. I miss the morning-and-evening updates, but it is what it is.

EDIT: BUT WE'RE 10 DAYS AWAY FROM FOOTBALL-LIKE SUBSTANCE AGAINST THE HOUSTON TEXANS! Are you ready for one-quarter of starters playing vanilla plays and trying not to get injured, followed by three quarters of having to check your monitor to remind yourself who's on the field?!?!?!

YEAH, BABY!

:yeahthat:
Leaving Phoenix for a couple of days in late July-early August for the cool pine country of Flagstaff to watch Cardinals practice in a relatively intimate environment was a pleasure. If planned well a person could stay one night in Flagstaff and take in four practices.

With the changes in location and practice schedules due to the current CBA, driving across town (two plus hours round trip) to catch a practice just doesn't have the same allure.

The site got hacked and a full days posts went down the toilet. Supposedly everything is safe now but we did lose a bunch of awesome posts from that day.

I've been hearing on the radio and reading online that John Carlson has looked really good catching the ball. I have really high hopes for Carlson and hope he can overcome his concussion issues. I beleive he will be our top TE this season:

Niklas has his hand wrapped up in a big cast like thing (see below) so I think it's kind of hard to tell how well he is doing. I think once his hand is fully healed we will be able to get a better feel for his capabilities.

I might actually be able to make it over to UoP for the first hour of practice tomorrow and will give a quick report if I'm able to make it.

I saw mainly the Offense that day but I was impressed with Niklas, he's like a WR at TE, has really good hands (on that day lol) they weren't really hitting so I can't say much about his blocking. Floyd looked awesome , Palmer looks to have a much better grasp of the offense and was a definite leader. Logan is big! He was surprisingly accurate for all that I have read about him so I wasn't expecting much but he did good.
From what I saw in the 11on 11 it was split 50-50 between th D and O. Minter held his own and was quick again they weren't really hitting so it was hard to judge (I only saw a handful of plays with him) Bucannon is fast, he needs to work on some mechanics but he was picking up things quickly.

I left with an overall good feeling about things
