Rubbish, virtually every team that wins the title has luck bounce their way and against their foes with injury. The Bucks would have lost to the Hawks if Young didn't roll his ankle stepping on a refs foot. I really doubt the many teams who got by hobbled Suns rosters look back and go "we got lucky".

And those are 3 guys who constantly get hurt anyway... and we'd have smoked the Lakers regardless.
.
That’s cool and all but the point still stands that we got fortunate. During the Nash era we never got breaks like that.

And Giannis missed two games in the ECF.

And we were down 2-1 to the Lakers when AD went down. But even though we were losing to the Lakers at the time AD was healthy, we would have also smoked them if he kept playing? Strange argument, IMO.

Truth is that 2021 team got so many injury breaks and was up 2-0 in the Finals and still lost to a Bucks team that was known before and after as constant playoff choke-artists.

It was definitely a fun run but to put that team above other Suns greats doesn’t hold much water for me.

They only won the 2 games they did because Paul was playing with one arm, once he got back to playing even 50% we were beating them, we were up 8 in LA when Davis went down in game 4.

And again, he ALWAYS gets hurt. When something that constantly happens, happens, it's neither luck nor misfortune. Did the Nuggets get lucky when Paul got hurt in 2023? No... it's Chris Paul, he gets hurt.

And again, it's almost impossible to find a team that won a title who didn't have the fortune of one or more of their foes being without one of their best players.

Sure. It’s also rare that a title winner gets thru three straight ROUNDS when three of their foes were missing one if they’re best players.

But why are you even talking about title winners? In case you forgot… we DID NOT WIN THE TITLE, which is yet another reason that team ain’t close the best. They got a ton of breaks in the West, then they played perpetual playoff choke artists in the Finals and then the Suns themselves choked away a 2-0 lead.

Ten Best -

1992-93 - Lost Finals
2021-22 - Lost Conference Semifinals
2020-21 - Lost Finals
1994-95 - Lost Conference Semifinals
2004-05 - Lost Conference Finals
2006-07 - Lost Conference Semifinals
1975-76 - Lost Finals
1978-79 - Lost Conference Finals
1980-81 - Lost Conference Semifinals
1988-89 - Lost Conference Finals

2022, 2023 and 1981 all had pretty embarassing playoff collapses.

Not to mention the Barkley led Suns had to go up against one of the best teams in NBA history with arguable the best player EVER. It's no contest IMO.

No Suns team has won a title, so that's a moot point when comparing teams in that regard.
