A team to watch for when it comes to salary cap cuts is the Jags. Here are some names that may be heading out.

Malik Jackson - DL(better 3-4 DE than 4-3 DT)
Marcel Dareus - DL
Calais Campbell - DL (not likely but could happen)
Tashuan Gipson - S (pretty good player)
Arby Jones - DL
Jeremy Parnell - OT
Carlos Hyde - RB
Brandon Linder - C

This is mainly based off of cap savings vs dead money.

I’d take Malik Jackson in a hot second. Then we can draft Bosa and have DE cost control for 5 more years.

Otherwise, re-sign Golden and draft QWill.

Eagles and Vikings are two other teams that will need to make moves. Some names of note there...

Kyle Rudolph - TE
Everson Griffen - DL

Nelson Agholor - WR
Chris Long - DL
Stefan Wisniewski - C/OG

I am getting to the point where you don't pay TE's like Rudolph or Brate. You can easily find replacement level guys in the draft.

This year WR and TE pools are deep.

Chopper, do you know if vets like these have to clear waivers if cut? I do understand if we claim anyone the current contract comes with them. Any of these guys have a reasonable enough contract to claim on waivers if possible?

lol...I was just imagining a 3-4 defensive front with Calais Campbell, Corey Peters, Malik Jackson inside and Chandler Jones, Markus Golden and Nick Bosa on the outside. On paper, not bad. :)

I'm also not sure it would be the best use of resources, but it is free to dream.

I have liked the idea of adding CJ Mosley since I saw the potential FA lists, but he may get tagged or just re-sign in Baltimore. Too early to tell if he will be on the open market. A good market for LBs this offseason.
