I wonder who was available when we picked in the first round, that we could have had. First round picks are supposed to be immediate impact players, and ours has been the antithesis of that. I mean, in the old days, I argued against expecting our first rounders being counted on early, but the times changed. In today's NFL, you need production from that pick right away.

As for this injury, it weakens our depth. I wish he hadn't have gotten hurt, but it hopefully shouldn't make a bit of difference.

Okay, so why did we activate Swearinger out of everybody?

Could be because of the Jefferson injury.
He's only activated to the 53 so he might still be inactive for the game depending on Jefferson and Johnson injury status.

There are only three true safeties on the roster (Badger, Jefferson, Johnson). Before Watford went down, we had nine o-linemen on the 53-man roster.

I couldn't agree more and this is an embarrassment of riches when everyone is upset that a guy who wasn't on the active roster this last week is now on IR and we act as if the season is over lol.

can you show me one post in this thread that even comes close to acting as if the season was over?

........ That's a good question lol. Idk if I misread some posts or if I mixed threads or what I did. might be sleep deprived with the new baby so I'm seeing things and have conversations with myself :)

Smith has play well for TB at LT. Imagine if he was our RT.

I guess the "glass half full" in me says if we do well this season without him and he becomes the stud they envisioned we will be thrilled in the future.

According to Rotoworld, Watford hurt his hand in practice on Tuesday.

I would say either a broken hand or wrist.

That sucks.

Watford had been dealing with minor hand issue. Hurt himself again this week, had it checked, ligament damage. So went to IR.
