Per Urban: "Watson recently had surgery to clean up some of the pins first inserted when he broke his kneecap last offseason."

Doesnt sound serious at all to me. You guys can relax now. Just removing the Pins.

Could Gabe Watson go 60 minutes for us at nosetackle; he looked dominant at times last year in short spurts. jmo.

I hope so. His potential is off the charts. IF he can return 100% this season, he can blow up the center at the point of attack and cause havoc on the interior rush.

Plus Alan Branch sucks. We cant afford to have his lazy ass on the field

No NT in football goes 100% of the snaps. Just not possible.

A NT doesn't play 60 minutes. That is a show on Sunday nights with Mike Wallace. NT can only play when the defense is on the field. That's generally around 1/2 the game. Then there is rotations for them, to give these big mama's a rest. That leaves 20-25 snaps or so. Time outs, and ref reviews givbes them more time off. Don't feel so bad for them. It's hard, but they get paid a lot of money for what they do.

Wait... was it surgery to clean up the pins, or remove the pins? It's quoted as saying "clean up the pins" but you state that it was to remove the pins?

Robinson was good last season but we really need Watson to step up this year... high expectations last year, the injury really hurt.

Without Watson the Cards 3-4 is dead in the water. There's not much behind him so he has to be healthy as you can't run a 3-4 without a NT.

Robinson will be 35 in June and Branch is an underachiever.

The most important, not best mind you, guy on our defense.

Have been really impressed with the way Watson has played. Watch the "Together DVD" and the stuff of Gore at the goal line to save the 49er game at SDS. Watson was instrumental in making that happen.

"virtually" impossible to run a successful 3/4 without an outstanding guy in the middle...

Here's the deal with knees...

A knee isn't good to go until it is.

Until Gabe is going 100% full-tilt, I'll be nervous.
