Will someone talk more about our new coach Tippet I think, with Maloney, and what they together can accomplish??

I think Tippett will do a good job with the team - he preaches work, discipline and consistency

I think a guy like hanzal will develop into a very good 2 way player out there and a guy who will match up against some of the top Cs in the league under trippett

i also expect the PK to improve under him

offense will be a lot like it has been, I think - they are going to try and hold possession, apply consistent pressure and just grind teams out ...... however, given the makeup of their team, most goals are going to be the "opportunistic" variety

i think the key is going to be tippett providing the consistent, disciplined approach that will force mistakes from the opposition - it will be the stars of the team responsible for capitalizing on them when they happen

i think he'll be good for the franchise

All I meant was a smaller arena is easier to fill. I wasnt trying to stir the pot just making an observation. Could of gone about it differently I suppose.

Migrating Osprey, what about his eye for talent? I thought that even with Maloney this is where we've fallen short the last 3-4 years.. Is that a fair statement?

i'm not too down on maloney right now - he came in at the end of 2007

that leaves the 07-08 and 08-09 seasons as being "his"

the organization was apparently still fairly tied to gretzky though with gretzky being the top dog for everything hockey

also, it's not frequent where an NHL draft pick breaks into the league with substance in their first couple of years

with that said i think he has done a fair job all told

as far as dallas over the past few years? - it's still kind of a veteran heavy team, but some youngsters have emerged and were able to contribute under his system

i think maloney is doing the right thing by trying to build with youth, speed and I think tippett has the ability to get the most out of young guys and get them to produce

should be interesting how it develops - hopefully they can get some results this year

tighten up the defense, tighten up the discipline, improve on the PK and eliminate the soft goals and the team should at least be competative

no problem - may not be the gospel, but it's my honest look at it

about 10 days until opening night - should be a sellout and a whiteout - i picked up a pair of tickets earlier in the day for it - hope they can get off to a good start
